Started the day off with a car full of lads coming down, then they all backed out one-by-one (work, girlfriend issues, all that bullshit). So I just headed along on my own. Was too pissed off about the lack of numbers to bother bringing the banners, but I was the only guy in the ground with an APIA jersey, so you may have seen me strolling about.

To answer your question, most of us go to more APIA games than Sydney FC. There's a few FC boys in there, but most are primarily APIA supporters (local boys). Our numbers vary between games (due to work, etc), but we always try and maintain the mindset of making as much noise as we can no matter how many turn up.

It's been a while since I came on this board this is the first i've heard of it. I support Marconi and APIA in the NSWPL so it's good to see a group of guys trying to make something out of it

Cause you have not experienced what it's like to see one of the greatest Clubs this country has had, be dropped to a shit league with no fault of their own, then told that us ethnics are bad and our ethnic clubs are bad and that we should abandon them and jump on the Sydney FC bandwagon. Well why the hell should I? Sydney FC means nothing to me, what connection do I have to the Club? Oh, cause they represent the city I live in?! So if a new Sydney A-league franchise based itself in the Inner-West should I jump off the Sydney FC bandwagon and join them cause 'they represent me?' Doesn't seem like loyalty to me.

if, in the unlikely event you guys somehow make your way back into calculation for a spot in the a-league then thats a different story, but i cant see that happening.

i dont care if they are sydney fc fans, if so, good. the more people that support the state league clubs, ex-NSL clubs the better. We both know there is only a small minority that will do so and care about football in this country as a whole, but the majority of HAL fans, be that sydney fc would spit on the clubs, nor give a fuck about the clubs and would be the first to have something negative to say...

true true. im heavily involved at rockdale and yet also support sydney fc. thats part of the problem in sydney, many many football supporters who either wont go to either state league or a-league fixtures, or those who say they support a state league team but dont support sydney fc. its crucial that sydney fc does well because with no successful sydney club in the a-league, no healthy a-league.

I think you will find most APIA people are also supporters of Sydney FC.

I can't see why it is an issues if you support your local NSWPL Club and also our A-League team being FC.

What does that matter if they are. Are we not allow to support state league teams during our offseason?
