To be honest I believe that FFT should be more thorough in checking rumors before they post them but thats just me. Then they would become stories. The ones we think have some substance are followed up as stories. Sometimes we can get definitive answers, sometimes we can't. If we can't, it can just be everyone involved being cautious and the Rumour Mill is the best place for it. Some of them come direct from agents, players or players' family/friends. They can be true or they can be using them to create a buzz to help the players in negotations etc. Some of them are idle speculation with no basis, but still being perpetuated by fans. We'll try to knock those down in the Rumour Mill. Others still could be true or false but there's no way of telling so we let fans decide. Finally there are the occasional ones so ludicrous we put them up to humiliate whoever sent them in. And you should see the crap we don't put up... Bottom line - unless you see a story in the main Australia or World News sections, NOTHING in the Rumour Mill should be taken as 100% gospel unless we say so in the Belief Factor. It is merely a place for gossip.
