I have found with the engish unlike in aus where we have say a keba shop, a fish and chip shop etc etc all shops out here are all in one, they do everything, i have also found when it comes to kebabs they have no idea how to pack em, one last week was put into those white boxers you get when you get fish and chips, and by god it was messy to eat, wasnt that good either,

Never thought about it unpressed tbh. Do always have cheese so I guess it's a given.

In Adelaide they are around but few far and between. Though yiros bars are everywhere. When I went to Sydney last year I feel in love with the kebab. So much more options than just lamb or chicken and PRESSED! I love the pressed kebab!

Always have cheese, but never pressed. I prefer the fresh salad taste to counter the greasy taste. Makes for a wonderful balance.

They don't put them in the press so you got the hot meat and cool salad and sauce. I don't mind them pressed if I get cheese in it, but otherwise unpressed is the way to go. No wilted lettuce, thanks. I always have mine pressed. But there's a fine line between making the bread a little crispy and burning the entire thing. My local shop does it perfectly. It's beautiful. I usually have it pressed whether I get cheese or not. I'm gonna have a kebab for lunch I think. Yes. Yes I will. :D

Had a very ordinary Kebab last night. The meat was awful, not enough salads, the bread was thick and non-crispy and overall it was a crap kebab. Dissapointed :( .

Review of new kebab shop at Fairfield heights next to the car wash:
Brochure: Managed to mis-spell "Boulevard" as "Boleverd" and Heights as "Hights". 5/5 for Ethnic Spelling Hilarity. Chips: Drowned in chicken salt. Crispy though. Warm but not hot. 2/5. 3 if the salt was reduced, 4 if hot. Kebab: Very solid. Big unit. Not like some of the other places where it feels insubtantial. Bread is nice and crisp. Nicely layered. Not a lot of dripping juices which is good. Used the classic trick of using melted cheese to hold the kebab in place. Big fail on the amount of garlic sauce though. Really should've used more. 8/10 though. Drink: Was only a 300m can, I expect a 600m can for a $12.50 snack pack.
Overall score, 7/10.
My sister went up to get it so I blame her for the failures for the most part, so if I go, I'd expect a 9/10 by reducing the salt, doubling up on the onions and garlic sauce, and getting a 600m bottle.

Made my own kebabs tonight \:d/
Chicken breast, coated in my four secret herbs and spices. Wait. I don't think it included any herbs. Whatever, it was Cumin, Coriander, Salt and Pepper.
Got the bread a $1 for a pack of 7 from "Grandpa's Nuts" in Fairfield Chase after my Mission Employment interview (9 fucking am, fucking hell, sat there for 5 minutes, told them I should be starting my 7 month temp job next month, they told me to come back in 2 weeks. At 9am again.)
Anyway.
Sliced up the chicken so it'd cook well, combined the spice mix (could probably add some dried Oregano perhaps, or some Paprika to make it hotter, but I cbf).
Split a couple spring onions into thirds, added the cheese, sliced a tomato, and some spinach leaves. Had some leftover garlic sauce from a chicken the day before, and some tomato sauce to finish.
Had two in the sandwich press, one without.
Brochure: If I did make one, I'd know how to fucking spell my address properly. 5/5. Chips: Didn't bother, didn't have any chips or potato to make them. Kebabs: Not quite super solid, but having three makes up for that. Bread was crisp on the pressed and soft on the unpressed. Wish I had more garlic. 9.5/10 because I had three. Drink: A 99c coles sugar free 1.25L coke. Can't beat that.
Cost: Drink: $1 Bread: (($1/7)*3) = .42c Cheese: Was leftovers that my sister bought, so free. Chicken: $10 for 4, used one, $2.50 Spring Onion: Maybe 50 cents? Spinach: Didn't buy it, so free. Garlic Sauce: Left-overs from the other day, so free. If I had to buy it i'd be about .30c for the amount I'd use. Tomato: Didn't buy, so free. Spices: Negligible.
So about $4.72 in total, $1.57 each.
Getting stooged by these shonk merchants charging $8 a kebab.

But how is that a win when you spent MORE than the cost of one kebab on the ingredients.

Err what.
I spend $4.72 in total, and got three kebabs out of it.
I've still got all the other ingredients. It's not like I chucked out the other 4 pieces of bread, or the other 3 pieces of chicken.

Yeah, but you still had to SPEND the money. Plus, how can you compare prices when you didn't pay for Cheese, Garlic sauce, Tomatoes or Lettuce? That's $5 worth of ingredients right there.

+ Mack, you didn't pay for the seedy Wog owner/chef who always gives you double chips or drinks
Went to Kings Corner Kebabs at South Hurstville today:
Service 10/10 - gave us an extra chips and made sure he came to our table and gave us our kebabs Kebab 7/10 - lacked quality meat, maybe too much lettuce and wrappednot the best. Saying that, still tasted great. Chips 9/10 - real great! Top chips with just enough chicken salt and just enough crunch Price 9/10 - cost us only $34.50 for a family meal; that being 4 kebabs, large chips and 1.25L drink
Final verdict: 8.75/10
Had the quality of the kebab been better, then that place would've been a hit.

Does anybody know that Kebab shop behind Bankstown station. The little road that runs behind the station and over the tracks, there's a little Kebab shop just there, called "...Yerros" (somthing Yerros - Can't actually remember the name of it! ) - Has anybody been there, are they decent there. Might pick one up after Uni tomorrow.

If I remember properly, they were actually half alright, I'd try them out if I was you. Average priced too. I've got this feeling that I'm confusing them with another one near a station, but I think it was Bankstown.

So went cycling today. Popped into Darling Harbour for a spot of lunch. Decided to get myself a kebab from the kebab store in Harbourside. It wasn't bad. My rating. 6.9/10. Got a 'mixed kebab' (Beef, Chicken, and Lamb) Service: Poor. 3/10. The man who took my order was a Indian student who had clearly been in the country for less then a month. His grasp of the English knowledge was poor, and had trouble with my change. The kebab cost $9 (just reasonable) Change from a $20 should have been $11. He thought it was OK to give me $6.70 change. After telling him this, he quickly fixed it. He also took about 3 minutes to give me my change. Kebab: Decent. 6/10. It was neatly wrapped, and the lady who made it put plenty of Chilli and Garlic sauce. However, there was barely any meat, a few pieces of lamb, chicken and beef. They charged 80c extra for Hommus and $1.50 for cheese, which I thought was a rip-off. It tasted OK, however the service put me off, so did the lack of meat. Would I go there again? Maybe. Depends on whether I'm hungry. If I find myself intoxicated in Darling Harbour, I'll probably go there again, but If i'm there for lunch, I might think twice.

Are you Tony Abbott? No. But I think as a consumer I should be able to expect the right change have the cost spoken in English and not garbled incomprehensible rabble.

Got a kebab from my local place tonight. Also, the store IS ACTUALLY RUN BY MIDDLE-EASTERN PEOPLE. Anyway, the kebab was great, the meat was soft and juicy, the filling was moist and the bread was nice and crispy. The only issue was the lack of garlic sauce, otherwise it was fine. 8.5/10
