I wouldn't be surprised if this happened...Akwa has family in Sydney... What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Akwa to Jets? [RUMOUR]? Have your say.

The Jets aren't scouting Africa but senior recruitment peanut Remo Nogarott-en has been telling anyone who'd listen they have a Nigerian striker picked out... So i think that counts this guy out.

Well i think this could be true as there were rumours when the world cup was on that Akwa + the then out of contract goalkeeper were both heading to the hunter.

I seem to recall Akwa being linked with an A League club at the back end of the 2006 World Cup - may not be that random

Akwa actually trained with the Jets at the start of last season along with the Angolan keeper. This is more believable than people think.

He is a good player. If the jets are looking into him then good on them, if not, then just like all the other a-league clubs, they will be missing out. Africa is a gold mine waiting to be opened up. We just need to go in there and pull out some players and trust me they will be good assets for the a-league.
