Yeah hopefully he's a goalscorer. Because its the one thing were missing in the midfield in my opinion and if he can be that for us, it will only strengthen us. Hopefully he has something to prove and isn't just here for holiday.

So the assumption that brisbane would have got a fee for him is incorrect.
He was advised to get out now as it would be easier for him to get a club without a transfer fee.
Bratten jumped at the idea.
Other roar players had the same option but elected to stay.

Actually i would have expected to see brat converted to an AM. there was talk of it in preseason that aloisi wanted him to play a more advance role. I would say both spanish players were in aloisi site, but meh mere speculation.

Agreed on speculation. There was a need to sign at least one more player to make the squad good on numbers so like you I suspect corona was the target. Also the move to 4-2-3-1 makes room for both if neede be. But it's all speculation unless Bratts does a spectacular u turn

I'm fully expecting Stef to drop his shit sooner or later and we've talked enough about Brown.

i still rate brown. but once the other 2 cbs are fit no reason donache, bowls or north couldn't play full back.

Other than the fact they arent fullbacks and North is slow as shit. Donks has proven he doesnt play well at fullback as has Bowles.

Id be surprised if Javi doesnt get off the bench this weekend. Its always easier to debut away from home and the pressures in front of home fans. Plus we will be absent Matt McKay for the Perth game and I reckon JA will want him starting that game to cover that loss.

Donachie, JCS, Clut, Javi on the bench against Sydney. Dimi to miss out. (Far more likely Clut does unfortunately :( )

Yeah mate. On Fox and in the CM there have been articles saying that they are both likely to be on the bench.
Dimi will probably start, but we looked way better when he was benched last game and against a better attacking team so wouldnt be surprised if Lustica started ahead of him.
So to recap - Yeah. I do. Im using the information provided to reach the conclusion there is a very strong change most, if not all 3, of Javi, JCS and Donachie will be on the bench. The last bench spot will probably be between Clut, Brown/Steff (depending who starts) and Dimi/Lustica (depending who starts). I would almost assume it will be Brown because Steff will start again and isnt 90 mins capable atm.

I recon Brown will drop from the bench to make way for Donachie - North is still carying an injury so it would make sense to have cover, if Steff needs to go off Hingert can move to LB and either Bowles or Doncs can cover right back. Biggest question on the starting line up is Dimi or Lustica? Dimi is getting a bad-rap for the Adelaide game but we were dominant fir the first 30-35 minutes which he was a part of. Lustica would suggest Aloisi is playing conservative, Dimi more expansive. Common sense suggests we start out cautsciously against Sydney surely !?!
