Rumour around Melbourne (especially in VPL circles) is Heart's owner can't sustain the financial losses and is considering pulling the pin on his franchise.
My source (closely connected to FFV's Greek circles) says Southern Cross is far from dead and buried and are considering their options in relation to entering the A-league, perhaps as an alternative to Heart. Their new home will allegedly be the redeveloped Bob Jane stadium therefore will actually be aiming for Melbourne's southern and south eastern regional market (and Greek/other ethnic market?).
I have no emotional investment at all in this rumour - don't particularly care if it's true or not. Just putting it out there.
