I think everyone needs to remember that overall the SPL is pretty close to the standard of the A-League, and Mcdonald's a bloody poacher. The reason he scores so often is because the defence is awful and the keepers are worse.

Not as stupid as the Grella rumour but Scotty won't be going anywhere until his next contract with Celtic is up. He's one of the Bhoys and strangely enough it wouldn't surprise me if he played the majority of the rest of his career at Celtic.

Mcdonald hasnt been tryed at EPL level so it would be a massive risk. Hes got the same build as rooney and tevez. :lol: Manc really need a guy that scores scrappy goals and that plays right up on the last man. However i think the rumour is just a rumour.

Didn't Fergie say they were after a box striker and that they were looking at Owen? I'd say McDonald would be better value for money, though I'm not sure if he'd be as good in the EPL.
