Hi guys

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind being good sports give me some advice about a football related project I'm about to get into??

I'm about to take up a life long ambition of producing my own football magazine....

Now I know what you are thinking but I'm not gonna tread on anyones toes as far as your magazine is concerned as mine will be produced in a completely different style and aimed at a completely different type of football fan.

Whereas Australian 442 magazine is your typical advert filled tabloid induced glossy catering for the overtly teenage angst crown mine will be a more insightful and sagacious offering with quality written analytical articles,a broader choice of expert comment and opinion pieces from both Australia and overseas and a more worldly look at the game similar to World Soccer magazine....

My target readership will be the more refined and discerning fan that really knows his football and wants to get a little deeper in the games trials and tribulations as oppossed to just skimming over the surface as it were .....

Anyway what I wanted to ask is you was your opinion on one or two matters??

Q1 Should I produce monthly or do you think a bi-weekly magazine is whats needed in the current football magazine market in Australia??

Q2 What sort of renumeration would an Australian football columnist like say Micheal Cockerill or Matt Hall charge for a 1 page article?

Q3 As far as Australia is concerned should I run with 'Football' in the magazine title (ie Football Monthly) or stick to using the more Australian/Americanised 'Soccer' bearing in mind eventually I will want to launch or franchise in both the UK and USA?

Q4 Should I incorporate the magzine with a website which contains a football news service or just leave as a stand alone magazine??

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions fellas :)
