Completely dominated against Rockdale. Our young boys made them look very, very average in the second half. Ran rings around them
Probably our most impressive performance in pre-season

Had the pleasure of watching Olympic v Demons yesterday.
As I said last week, I think Olympic will struggle massively this season to cover the player losses.
Defensively they were awful as shown by the 5-1 result to a very average Demons team.
Only a trial though and no doubt they will fire up for Round 1.
(cue abuse from Olympic ultra fans)

Probably our most impressive performance in pre-season we were very ordinary yesterday. not sure why, but one of our worst pre season hit outs. in fairness to united, they looked a class above. anyway, we can play much better than that. on the bright side, our 20's and youth did very well and look set to improve on last years showing.

Spartans - Parramatta, Olympic, Demons. Demons - rockdale, united, spartans. great three weeks of football in the blacktown area.

Edited by ralerasic: 26/3/2012 09:22:58 AM Abuse LOL Tseka and Flea have already given the main team a good work out in the preseason, hence a lot of young kids were given a chance on the weekend Trial form usually means nothing especially the last trial match before the season starts, given a lot of the main players got a break from the long preseason and gearing up for the season

Just wondering. Does anybody know if Chris Payne is playing state league this winter after being released by Newcastle Jets during the season. Since he wasn't picked up by any A-League club since then, I would assume he'd be making moves back into the NSW PL. Third stint at Manly UTD, perhaps?

And what's Matthew Mayora doing with himself these days. After going to Fiji then going to Marconi he went to India, but I dunno how he's doing.

(cue abuse from Olympic ultra fans) Both sides still had quite a few trialists. So no point in judging from a trial result. The comp starts in earnest this weekend. Then after a few rounds we will get a better picture and be able to sort out the pretenders from the contenders. Demons will be very competitive this season as there is a lot of very positive attitudes and confidence within the camp with some very smart signings. The U/20's are looking very sharp to backup the first grade lads. So it's all looking good for a great season at the Demons this year.

just reading the round 1 preview on the nsw premier league site, joseph carlucci knows nothing about football he did a lot of the match reports at sutherland last year. It pisses me off when i miss a game and i read the match report to see how they went and few days later some of the players tell a different story, its about time football nsw hired some decent reporters to cover games or get one of the coaches to do the report

yeah i would have to agree that loads of times the report doesn't reflect the game....but to be fair i think sometimes someone else rings through a verbal report

Daniel Severino signed with Marconi
start or the season is just 3 days away now
Olympic against Rochdale should be the game of the round ,with Rochdale expected to give a good fight after a strong preseason
Marconi and United should start on a winning note
interesting to see how Bonnyrigg will start and how much they will suffer after rather poor preseason
good luck to all teams

Tipping a draw in this one. depends on which side turns up. weve looked good in patches pre season but were disappoitning against united last week. in saying that, united are a very good side. anyway, hopefully we get something out of ths one.
