Should have beaten United away?
Is that even after taking into account an incorrectly disallowed goal for Cindric?
I dont remember Parra being much better than us, at least not to the point where they "deserved" 3 points. Having said that, we were very poor just like we have been all season. Beating us is nothing to brag about this year, especially when the Spartans managed to do it 3-0

Your goal keeper gifted spartans 3 goals. Worse keeping i've seen this year. Best of luck to him at Sydney FC  Parra have 2 problems. No strikers and the defence makes too many very basic mistakes. The highlights reveal this. Being a young side will count towards inexperience but talent should make up for this. When Rockdale got their penalty last week in the 92nd minute would this have happened if at the 92nd minute Parra was in rockdales box?...There comes a time when you have to stop blaming the ref and look deeper as to why these things happen. Indeed looking at the table any team from top 7 can make the final 4. Apart from Bonnyrigg it's a scramble to fill 2nd,3rd,4th places. One win or loss can make all the difference. It's that tight. Even Sutherland if they string a few wins together can find themselves in the mix for top 4 spot.

He gifted them the third. I wouldnt say he "gifted" the other two but he arguably could have done better on both.
Having said that, one average performance out of 12 means very little. You seem to be judging him on that one game
He is the only reason we arent battling Parramatta for the wooden spoon. He was fantastic for us this season, probably would have finished as player of the season if he had kept going the way he was playing. The SFC contract was well deserved

BWE : SC W 3:1 Great game for all of us at Bonnyrigg, we scored in the first half, great goal from M Long on his return from injury, S Petrovski milked the penalty early in the second only to be counted out by R Younis converted penalty. S Petrovski looks in better shape now then when he played in the A-League, but every one out there just watch him he just falls over milking free kicks, great skills but speed and mobility gone. Highlight for the night was a converted free kick from T. Diaz can not wait for the highlights to see this goal. Third BWE goal put the game beyond doubt as SCW were threatening and with the referees these days you do not know which way things can turn out. The game was won without our main defenders D Vrankovic on international duties and A Mansueto injured. This game was also very costly for SCW as their keeper got a straight red so next two games could be difficult for their title chase.

SydneyCroatia,
Everyone has a bad game once and a while. But those 3 plus another one the game after were terrible. Sydney FC problem now. You can't get away with that at A-League. Perhaps Kalac can sort him out ;)
Batfink,
I was watching a few of the ASA lads at the Parra pres-season trials this year and I bumped into Alex Tobin. I find it amazing Parra haven't utilised him at all even if it was on a part time basis. The man is a legend.
No12,
Full credit to Bonnyrigg this season. They came out of the barrier hard and maintained that level all season. Also sitting top of the club championship for most of the season which is a bonus.

I wouldnt call the other two goals "terrible" mistakes. The 3rd was a terrible mistake, especially by his standards. The other two were saves that he could have made, but definitely werent 'terrible'. The first was a decent finish from a tight angle which he might have done better on. The second he made a save and the ball happened to fall to a Spartans player, some might argue that he should have held onto the initial shot. The only terrible mistake was the dropped high ball Had you seen his performances in other matches (especially Blacktown and Sutherland away) you'd know why he has been signed by FC. Not to mention his form in other seasons (including keeper of the year in 2009)

SydneyCroatia,
Yep saw him V blacktown city at Lily homes. Don't remember anything spectacular from him that game. But Glavas scored a quality goal worth remembering.
If he is as good as you reckon then United are in deep trouble as soon as he heads off to Sydney FC to start training.

This may be true but the pendulum swings the way of the attacking side. You have to be in the box to get the penalty in the first place. So if Parra was in the oppositions box they might have ended up with a penalty. As it pans out rockdale were in parra box. You don't win games in your own half of the field. we had three calls for penalty in the rockdale box...1 wasn't even close the other 2 were close and at the very least 1 was definately a penalty...... don't you worry we were in the rockdale box plenty......young fella got a bad hip injury last night and we had another 3-4 players out with injury..... that's life just goot get on with it dotn know if i agree with you about whether they were or were not penalties but i accept your boys played well and were unlucky not to get something. from my end. weve dominated games and not taken the points so i will take an ugly win any day of the week. not sure if either of the two lads mentioned on here have signed. i know taku was trialling. anyway, if they maike it good luck to them. we managed to get by before dylan arrived and if he was to leave, which is not sure, we will manage as well. taku has been great in games. hes also had a couple of average ones, im thinking the marconi game. anyway, we will be able to cover if need be and im sure we wont be the only team who might be affecte by players either signing with the west sydney or going voerseas for trials. its that time of year! no worries....i thought there was a definate penalty there, so did our players......but whats done is done....get on with it and keep going...... For me it's hard to cop the constant drivel about parra being rubbish...when clearly they are very competetive and have been so close on so many occassions to taking the points or at least sharing them.....just shows you when confidence is down luck is following close behind.....there are some very very talent young players in that squad......average age in the team is something like 21, which is very young for the NSWPL.....so they should be please with their efforts to date...even if it isn't reflected on the points table Edited by batfink: 9/7/2012 10:17:20 AM mate, ive never rubbished parra and have said theyre competitive, maybe a little naive, but definitely a talented side. should of beat utd away, and could of beaten bonno and us. no easy games in the pl thats for sure. the table is so tight right now, its crazy. pretty much every team other than parra can make the finals if they go on a run and only bonno look safe to be there. any word on who else from the pl poppa is looking at? was just commenting generally the attitude towards cellar dwellers, wasn't directed at you personally....sorry.

Batfink, when your last everyone is critical.
Just like BWE are outright first, and are by table position the "best team" in the NSWPL.
Despite Parra being seriously unlucky on many occassions this season, the fact remains that they are stonecold last and as such poeple have a right to be critical.
Anyway, you don't worry as your boy is good enough to make it elsewhere and get away from that lunatic Sterrey.

Tomorrow decides if Melita get relegated. Lose in both first grade and second grade and prepare for the Super League next season. Considering APIA 18's are losing every game this year, I'll assume the maximum 3 points will be accumulated there by Melita. If Melita beat APIA in the main game (15), and get another 6 in the 20's where the teams are even on the ladder, then there will be 2 points in it between APIA and Melita in the relegation battle.
Last season the relegation battle was decided by Bankstown's poor showing in both 20's and 18's, a 10 point deduction, and Melita winning the U/20's. Might be the same this year for APIA if their lower grades can't turn around their poor form... assuming their first grade stays mediocre.
In the Super League, Northern Tigers slipped up losing at home against lowly Fraser Park. Bankstown is now in control and the onus is on them to drop points to let Tigers back into the frame. Northern Tigers finishing first would have all but guaranteed APIA/Melita their place in the 2013 NSWPL as they are ineligible for promotion.

MU v BWE 1:4 Great game for BWE, win did not come easy with Manly having great chance in the first five min. and the ball cleared of the line by BWE. R Younis scored shortly after and A Canak before the half time.
I hate games like this everything looks comfortable, BWE have all the possession, shots on goal, corners… but Manly looks threatening on counter. R Younis scored again with a great header, a goal worthy of any higher league puts the game beyond any doubt 3:0. Manly come back with a goal and looked like their game is back on track only for A.Canak to score for us and after long time coming to Manly finally get one game back where we totally dominated the game and scored many as well. This year BWE did win many and did not always play great football, today we did play well and won.
Lady luck so far has been on our side and looking at last nights other scores she is still with us.

They are a horrible team to watch. Local park crap quality. How spartans have a won a game this year is beyond me. Blacktown City too classy all over the park and played some excellent football. Should have been 10 goals to Blacktown City. Good weekend for Blacktown City as they won every grade from 1st grade down to U/13's. Spartans handed their arses on platter all grades  In the other game. Apia and Parramatta played out a Nil all draw.: Edited by Aussiesrus: 15/7/2012 05:49:16 PM
