Don't know much about Dully. How does their facilities compare with both bankstowns facilities? Both bankstown sides finished top 3 in firsts and firsts carries a lot of weight. I think Dully finished pretty low in firsts. Facilities + 2012 season ladder finish plays a big part. Know what you mean about youth dev though...

Lions have way better facilities and Berries are better as well but I'm pretty sure they don't own the land. Only problem with Dully is our pitch which we've been trying to get artificial turf for for yrs. We finished last in 20's and first grade. It wasn't our greatest year for youth but we lost a lot of coaches and players the year before to our rivals Fraser Park. Had to basically start from scratch in the youth. According to FNSW, the ladder wasn't meant to play a part but clearly it did.

According to FNSW, the ladder wasn't meant to play a part but clearly it did. Ladder position plays a big part in the promotion and relegation side of things. Facilities played the next part along with financial viability of the club. It is a sad fact that lower league clubs don't care much for youth development as they would rather pay drop downs from the premier league to boost their firsts sides results rather than build their youth to that level. Have seen a lot of time super league advertising for premier league experience and div 1 advertising for super league experience etc etc. A good club knows the value of developing their youth then integrating their youth into the first grade side. This ensures the future of the club. Most (not all) premier clubs generally work hard in the youth development. This flows onto their first grade side. This is also where the quality of the youth coach is important. It is also important for the coach to have the skills to recognise the talent in front them. A few years back I took my lad to trial at a super league youth side and the side he played in smacked the other side 8-0 in half a game and you guessed it they kept the side that got smacked and dumped the better side, needless to say that club got dumped lower this year as well. I guess some clubs look at their youth as nothing more than $$$ to pay their first grade side, in time they will be weeded out. Politics is still a problem at lower level clubs. This is why it is important what club a player goes to during the development years. Good club = good youth training = good future. It all goes hand in hand and works for both club and player. No surprise with Parra being relegated. They have finished on the bottom of first grade 2 years in a row and on the bottom of the Club Championship this season. They have decent facilities and a good youth set up though. I thought that, combined with their district links, might have saved them
The bigger surprise for me is Northern Tigers being overlooked in favour of CC

The bigger surprise for me is Northern Tigers being overlooked in favour of CC I think northern tigers failed in the facilities department. As for Parra FC, the district doesn't support Parra FC because the association is milking the shit out of the district association players by way of increased fees to support an egotistical group of morons and half the GDSFA walked out in disgust, Parra FC doesn't support the district in any way shape or form. They are happy to take the association players money and snub their noses up at them. It's a shame really because granville has a long history of great players and some really good clubs. This is what happens when dickheads take over. Unfortunatly GDSFA did not clean out the old melita dickheads that have been working to reduce the club to rubble. They are rubbing their hands together waiting to take it back over. Good youth setup at parra fc? It's woeful. Full of dickheads running it riding the gravy train for their own benefit. They walk around with their PFC tracksuits on body and dick in the other hand. The really sad thing is that the dickheads of Parra FC will promote the club as still being in NSW premier league because Super league which they have been relegated too is now called premier league 2. Such is the really sad decline of the club. Edited by Aussiesrus: 15/10/2012 11:02:55 PM

Fair enough. I just went by their recent 18s and 20s results. They've been right up there for the last couple of seasons, IIRC?

GDSFA haven't done a great job since taking over but by the same token the old melita ran it into ground to the point they could not afford the licence. The old melita wanted GDSFA to pay the bills while they partied on association players money. Good time for the club to take a good hard look at itself and clean up it's act. When they get good I'll think about it. SFC should register their first win with a brace by ADP. As for WSW Depends whether poppa unleashes my lil mate kabsy. Mooy has been awesome, and i think if poppa can make a few changes and continue to improve the squad they will have a competetive season.....can sit on the fence len...either your a football supporter or your a fair weather friend.......we have a team in the west and we need to show support.......no matter how poor they might be.....

Poppa had him wide left when I watched him. I think poppa has other agendas.
Of course I can sit on the fence. I already have a team I support before WSW came along. In my opinion WSW name sucks wang. Their strip is crap. And the team is based on reject players and old has beens. I watched WSW play blacktown city and city were all over them playing classier football. To be honest I wouldn't pay 2 cents to watch WSW, they play like rubbish.
I live in the west and there is more I hate about WSW than like. Might change my mind after 5 years when it's not hajduk wanderers anymore.
