That is true. If they get rid of Tiorres and Drogba this window, I think they'll get their man. Even so, I don't think he's worth more than 59million :P

People also need to pay less attention to buy out clauses. The only time they really matter is when it's a realistic price. A buy out clause is just an insurance policy for clubs. Buy out clause is also absolutely no indication of how much a player is worth.

His buyout clause is €100m. Of course it's no indication of his worth, that's probably €30-€40m.
But it's a statement by the club to the European powerhouses that he will not go for cheap.
Also is a starting point for any negotiation for FC Porto to work down from.
A different strategy to the norm, but I dont mind it.
