That paragraph in itself is an oxymoron "We don't give a fuck about the sydney melbourne debate. Sydney's the best" - if you didn't give a fuck, you wouldn't bring it up.

Bells Beach may be great but the unending stretch of beaches from one end of Sydney to the other is unlike anywhere else in the World. If you want to extend it then the stretch of beaches from the top of NSW to the bottom is the same nowhere else in the world does a coast have beaches like we do.

EDIT: Bells Beach isn't even in Melbourne so therefore can't be used for a Sydney vs Melbourne debate.

Except for the fact that to the north of sydney is swamps and mangroves and to the south is cliffs...

I'm not the one who used Bells Beach in a debate about Sydney Vs Melbourne when it's not even in Melbourne:lol:

Also you've got Palm Beach and Avalon to the north. Home and Away is filmed there so must be good:lol:

Then you go down through Whale Beach, Mona Vale Beach, Collaroy Beach, Narrabeen Dee Why, Curl Curl, Queensclif, Manly.

Then you get down to Bondi Beach, Tamarama, Bronte, Coogee, Maroubra, Cronulla Beach.

That stretch of beaches is unlike another in the world and that's just in Sydney. You can go outside of Sydney to the north and south and find the best stretch of beaches anywhere in the world.

Well the beaches in Sydney aswell as the Harbour Bridge and Opera House is what people recognise overseas. What do touros do when they first get here..... go to Bondi. All you have to do for Sydney in ads is show em the beach and people flock here.

I had a canadian telling me the other day at work telling me how tacky the tourist attractions in sydney are.

Melbourne has plenty of appealing things too. Crown Casino is world renowned. The MCG is certainly one of the greatest sporting arenas. Melbourne's music scene and nightlife shit all over sydney.

The beach is fun, as long as there's something gooey and people around to creap the fuck out...or a shark firmly clamped around some idiot swimmer's leg...otherwise it's boring. And sand fails.

Ooo wow, you have tourists. Remind me, when did that become a good thing? Oh wait, it's not.

Get back to me when you have the best Sporting Stadium, shopping centre, theatres, restaurants, cafes, museums, casino, city layout in the country. It'll take a while. But we'll wait for ya.

I love Melbourne. They try so hard to make everyone think they are just as good as Sydney, Sydney just sits back and chillaxes, because we don't need to prove we are better, because everyone knows already.

Exactly like that thing I posted before said. We honestly for the most part don't give a fuck about the Melbourne vs Sydney thing because unlike Melbourne we don't feel this need to prove eit because already know we are the shit

The group I joined wasn't about Sydney vs Melbourne it was about things in Sydney.

Listen very carefuly to what I'm about to say: This entire discussion was started by a sydney-sider. I'd say that pretty well shoots down your contention.

Sydney itself is only around 10 square kilometers around the CBD. There aren't any beaches. The Sydney Agglomeration contrains around 70 beaches, many of those aren't suitable for human contact.

We actually went to the main building thing out near Wonderland once.

It wasn't just sex-ed iirc. At least there.

Sydney spans up to Palm Beach in the north out to The Nepean river in the west and down to Austinmer in the South.

The only beaches that aren't suitable for human contact would be the ones along the Royal National park. All of teh beaches from Palm Beach to Cronulla are suitable and some of the best beaches in the world.
