Eto'o over Villa ?

You dont get it, Villa is an absolute gun striker as is Torres, Liverpool dont need another number 9 they need someone to form a good partnership with Torres, Villa would probably take the light away from Torres and try and do things on his own, they would be competing for the ball. Eto'o would be in the same boat but Villa is just as good as Torres on his day, and can even be better how many Liverpool fans would want someone to take the light away from Torres?

Thats pretty smart coming from a woMan U supporter!! dw i'm only joking :d
But you are exactly right. We don't need 2 number 9's. I mean we have Torres, Kuyt, Babel, Gerrard, Benayoun and N'gog and maybe even Dossena! lol.. All good attacking players. If Rafa was to buy another striker it shouldn't be a big money striker. We just need someone who is skilled nad can score regularly, or why just not keep things the way they are?

We need a big money striker. Someone who Torres can play off. Not someone like Villa who would play off Torres. We'd score as many goals with Villa running off Torres as we would with Torres running off somebody but thats not really the point. We want to see Torres bang in all the goals. Roque Santa Cruz should be considered.

As if we could get Barry for 8mil. AV wanted 18mil last season. Now AV are pushing top 4 so they will expect more compensation. Not 10 mil less! I'd love Barry their but I dont think we REALLY need him. Alonso, Masch and Barry would have to rotate. He'd be a lot better than Lucas though. I suppose he would be very, very handy but i'd rather spend money on a striker or an RM.

How is Eto'o a "Distraction"? He give's very frank interview's, and, you have enough other people around the 'pool causing "Distraction's", as it is.

Eto'o's one of the best player's Africa has ever produced, and he's hardly a cry-baby. One of the best out-and-out Striker's in the World today.

I reckon out of all of the prem managers Arsene would have the worst personality.
And imno I saw on another site a link from goal.com where it was 100 million for Ronaldo, lol. Give him the next season after (hopefully) his ego cools down a bit after everyone stops wanking over him and there is a new Ballon D'Or winner and then see how he performs, if it is anything like this season we should cash in because Madrid will always be there and we could se the money to bolster the sqaud in several positions

I refuse to believe that Villa value him at 14mil less than what they did 12 months ago.

Again, I agree. but this argument of Villa v Eto'o is pointless when Villa would cost too much and Eto'o would suck enormous wang in the EPL. We should have taken our chance to get Poldi, he'd have made Torres twice the player he is, and that's sayign something. Right now I'd settle for someone like Fabiano or Carvalho. Benzema would be nice to have for Torres to run off, but he'd cosst a French President's ransom.

No human being should be worth what alot of these players are but Madrid are willing to cough up because they seem more than happy to ruin the club financialy by signing these kinds of players, Aurelio complains but Madrid is rife with the "inner politics" and hidden agendas where these guys get elected with the promise of Ronaldo, Kaka and Fabregas

I think you'll find he was given absolute minimum time to warm-up, and he was just coming back from a pretty serious operation. Fair game, in my book's.

Barcelona to make bids for Buffon and Trezeguet

Barcelona are poised to test Juventus with bids for Gianluigi Buffon and David Trezeguet, despite both the agents of both player stating that they are unlikely to move.

Last summer, when Samuel Eto'o appeared to be set to leave Camp Nou, coach Pep Guardiola told technical secretary Txiki Begiristain that Trezeguet was his number one choice as a replacement.

Now the Catalan outfit are planning to make their interest concrete with a bid that could see Juve have to weigh up whether they can afford to hold on to their stars, Il Corriere dello Sport states.

He is accident prone(like Schwazer 7 years ago). He could be having a good game(or spell of games) and then he'll let in a silly goal.

Still cant see why they'd go all out on Buffon. There are plenty of good, young keepers out there who could do the job and are much cheaper(Mora, Bravo, etc).

I think if Agger left we'd get Chygrynskiy. Agger has a sweet left peg and I'd rather he stayed. I'd probably do that Gourcuff swap with AC too.

I think we're pretty sound defensively at the moment. I'd be content to leave it how it is. It might be a good idea to sign a 4th CB, behind Agger, Carra and Skrtel, seeing as Hyypia cant have much longer left. David Wheater maybe if, pfft "if", boro go down. Theres also Huth, Pogatetz, Steven Taylor, Distin, Kaboul, Turner, etc.

The way its looking a shitload of quality players will be relegated this season.

There should be some decent offloads from La liga too with Getafe and Espanyol, maybe betis going down.
