Haha as much as I love Ruud and all he has done that would not even begon to compare to the Owen move it would be hard for Liverpool to trump that, signing Giggs or Scholes would be the only way imo

Quote: Arsenal Offer €18m For Giampaolo Pazzini, Sampdoria Want €25m - Report Reports in Italy suggest the Gunners are ready to pounce for the talented striker, but they are not prepared to stump up the money the Blucerchiati desire...
Sampdoria are bracing themselves for a transfer assault from Arsenal, who are aiming to sign Giampaolo Pazzini. According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the 25-year-old Italian international is wanted by Arsene Wenger. 'Pazzo' has scored seven goals in 12 Serie A matches this term, winning a recall to the Italian national team. Another call has come, this time from further afield as the Gunners plan a winter raid in Italy. The report claims Arsenal are willing to offer €18 million to procure the prolific hitman, but Sampdoria are looking for at least €25m, leading to speculation that he may stay in Italy. Samp are flying high this term and their aim is to secure a European place. Pazzini and Cassano have been the focal point of their attack this term, and it's unlikely the club will be willing to break that bond. In addition, Pazzini has ambitions to play for Italy at the World Cup. Voices suggest he is unlikely to risk that by moving into unknown territory midway through the season. Arsenal have also been linked with Inter starlet Mario Balotelli. Salvatore Landolina, Goal.comhttp://goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2009/11/21/1638177/arsenal-offer-18m-for-giampaolo-pazzini-sampdoria-want-25m Waste of money TBH considering the attacking players we have already.

Quote:Napoli Will Not Consider Offers For Marek Hamsik Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon also opined on the Partenopei's Coppa Italia campaign, and insists that they will take the competition seriously...
Riccardo Bigon has dismissed rumours linking star midfielder Marek Hamsik with a transfer to the Premier League.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Slovakian, who has scored seven league goals so far this season, but the sporting director insists that there is no room for negotiating.
"Manchester United are after Hamsik? If we rejected the rumours regarding a friend like [Carlo] Ancelotti and his Chelsea, it's obvious we also reject these rumours," he explained to Radio Marte.
"There is no room for negotiations for Marek's transfer."
The Partenopei continue their Coppa Italia campaign on Thursday night with a fourth round match against Cittadella, having eased past Salernitana in round three.
Bigon has declared that Walter Mazzarri's side are intending to take the cup very seriously, as they will face Juventus in the next round if they progress against the Granata.
"Regarding tomorrow's game, I can say that the Coppa Italia is an important tournament for us as, above all, it's a trophy that everyone wants to win.
"A victory tomorrow would bring a prestigious tie with Juventus. We must not forget, however, that these games can sometimes bring big surprises. The squad must be careful.
"I know Cittadella well because they are from my region, and I know that they are doing some really good work. [Leonardo] Pettinari is one such example - he is a player who is having a brilliant season."
Don't think he'll leave TBH.

Quote:Alex Song Signs New Contract At Arsenal Cameroon midfielder extends Emirates stay...
Arsenal have today confirmed that midfielder Alex Song has signed a new contract at the club. Although its length has not been specified, it is described on the club's website as "long term".
The Cameroon international has established himself in a defensive midfield role in Arsene Wenger's 4-3-3 formation this season.
Also able to fill in at centre-back when required, the 22-year-old has made 96 appearances for the Gunners and won 15 caps for Cameroon.
Song joins team-mates Eduardo and Sanchez Watt in inking new deals at the Emirates in the past week. Good news this. One of the most improved players in the league.

Quote: Luca Toni Can Search For Another Team To Play For - Bayern Munich Coach Van Gaal The Italian is likely to look for greener pastures in the January transfer window...
Bayern Munich trainer Louis van Gaal has told the press that striker Luca Toni may leave the club this winter. The former Fiorentina star has made no secret of the fact he is unhappy at the club and wants to return to Serie A. "The player himself has said he wants to leave," admitted Van Gaal, according to forzaroma.info. "In this case I think he should search for another team. Certainly, the decision is up to the club, but I have some influence on this." Toni has already spent some time with the reserve team this season, falling behind in the pecking order at the club and the Dutch tactician hinted the reason for Toni's impending departure was his lack of professionalism. "All players have their chances, but they all need to meet the commitment required by Bayern to be considered a professional," he concluded. Van Gaal's position at the club is not necessarily safe either, as Bayern Munich must win their final Champions League match against Juventus in December to qualify for the knock-out stages. Roma, Milan, and Napoli are said to be interested in the striker, who was a 2006 World Cup winner. http://goal.com/en/news/15/germany/2009/11/26/1649646/luca-toni-can-search-for-another-team-to-play-for-bayern Not surprising since he can't keep his mouth shut long enough to get any game time. he'll be a good pick up for another team.

Quote: Nemanja Vidic: I'm Perfectly Happy At Manchester United Serb speaks out again to quash exit rumours…Manchester United centre-back Nemanja Vidic has reiterated that he has no intentions of leaving the Premier League champions. Reports have linked the Serb with a move away from the club as rumours have emerged that his wife is unhappy living in England. But the 28-year-old centre-back wants to stay at Old Trafford and help with the development of yet another generation of fine young talent at the club. "I am glad to have been part of this club for so many years and if I could be one of the bases on which a new team is built I would be very happy," he said, according to Sky Sports News. "I have never said I want to go and play in another country. Other people have spoken or written about it and I am not happy with that. "But I have said in the past what I think. I don't want to keep talking about it because I can't stop what people say. The fact is I am happy here." I would definitely take Yaya at Old Trafford he is a great player and he would add the steel to our midfield that we have been lacking since Keano left and Hargreaves has been too hampered by injury to ease it. He is right up Arsenal's alley though he would definitely suit them well

Quote: Arsenal Eyeing £15m Swoop For Wolfsburg Star Edin Dzeko - Report
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is pondering over a £15 million bid for highly rated Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko, according to The Sun. The tabloid claims that the Gunners boss has developed a keen interest in the Bosnia international since the extent of Robin van Persie's injury came to light. Apart from adding some aerial ability following the summer departure of Emmanuel Adebayor, Dzeko would bring with him a sensational goal-scoring record. He bagged 36 goals for his club last season, and has already scored 13 this time around. The 23-year-old recently signed a fresh four-year contract with the German champions, but it is said that he will look to greener pastures if his club crash out of the Champions League in the group stage. Meanwhile, Arsenal have reportedly agreed to a £1.7m deal with Juventude for the signature of 17-year-old Brazilian hotshot Zezinho. http://goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/12/03/1662803/arsenal-eyeing-15m-swoop-for-wolfsburg-star-edin-dzeko YES PLEASE[-o< [-o< [-o< [-o<

United have pulled out of signing Adem Ljajic which is not a rumour and I am very pissed off. Rumours say that United are willing to off load Nani and/or Tosic to finance a bid for Edin Dzeko which is part of the reason behing pulling out of the Ljajic bid as Glazer is tightening up on budgets. West Ham are in advanced talks with out of favour Bayern Striker Luca Toni. Manchester United will loan out Foster in January so he can improve chances of making the World Cup, they are also apparently looking into Schlake keeper Manuel Neurer which is a move I like the sound of Philip Senderos is poised to quit Arsenal and join Atletico Madrid in January

That's a very real possibility. We're not even half way into the season and the top two teams have lost three games a piece. Chelsea will surely drop more points come ANC. It's going to be very interesting.

Quote: Manchester United Linked With Move For Fiorentina's Sebastien Frey - Report The Red Devils are tracking one of Serie A's best goalkeepers...Fiorentina are bracing themselves for a winter raid by Manchester United who are eager to land highly-rated goalkeeper Sebastien Frey. Sportmediaset.it reports that the Old Trafford-based club have been following the Frenchman, who has been outstanding for the Viola this season. It is said Frey would be the future heir to Edwin van der Sar between the sticks. The Dutchman's contract expires in the summer and Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to ensure he lands the right replacement. Capturing Frey will be difficult though as his contract expires in 2013 and he signed an €18 million release clause two years ago amid interest from Milan. Furthermore, with a place in the Champions League last 16, the Viola are unlikely to sell one of their prized assets mid-season. La Gazzetta Dello Sport are also reporting an interest from United in Frey. The pink sports paper claims the Viola are looking at Bologna goalkeeper Emiliani Viviano in case the Frenchman moves to Manchester. http://goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2009/12/21/1701018/manchester-united-linked-with-move-for-fiorentinas-sebastien
