And the funniest transfer rumor of the window goes to the ITK that has posted the following on Twitter
"Arsene Wenger looking to bring some more English players in has made an 8m pound bid for Lee Cattermole"

And looking at the transfer fees so far this window I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up going for ~15. Kaboul to Marsille and Modric to Chelski are the rumours from soccernet today. F*ck Tottenham management can be spineless sometimes.
Apparently Cesc is off to Barca for 35million as well. Wonder if that means Nasri will get better wages he's being childishly bitching abou lately (assuming this rumour has any substance).

 any rumour of Cesc to barca for anything less than 40-45m you can safely put in the bullshit pile. So that means basically every rumour about Cesc since Barca can't and aren't willing to afford that. As for Nasri, he won't get the wages he's been asking for, because frankly, he in no way deserves them.

Substance to a soccernet rumour? Did they name one of their sources 'close to the club'?

Jerome Boateng has agreed terms on a 4 year deal with Bayern and now hopes Coty can come to an agreement on a fee.

Looks like we tied up a deal for Mevlut Erding and Demba Ba. :). Im very happy with the Ba signing. Apparently Man city want 14 mill for Ade. Ade at St James? I would. He still hasnt been given a proper opportunity at man city or Real. He had a fantastic 07/08 season and some of the goals he scored in 08/09 were ridiculous. I want Nzogbia back too. Wigan happy to release if eval is met.
We still have 30+ million to spend. So fucking spend it. 10-12 million for zog 14 mill for ade. Rest goes for wages and possibly DM cover. Or LB replacement. Clichy? 5 mill If enrique (8 mill) goes to Liverpool.
-----------------------------------------Adebayor------------------- -------------------------------Ba/Erding-----------------------------------
---------------------------------NZogbia---------------------------------
-----Arfa-------------------------------------------Barton-----
----------------------------------Tiote---------------------------
----Enrique :(------------Collo----------STaylor--------Simpson-----
============================Krul------------------------------------
That is a top 6 line up.

Why would you play a central midfielder on the right and a left winger in the hole? Enrique won't be staying.

His crossing was ridiculous. Sure hes not to fast but his delivery + vision is second to none. Ade+Ba in box + Barton = :D. As for Nzogbia he seemed to be very adaptable as an attacking Mid and was played their several times for Wigan to deadly effect. Enrique is gone (seems obvious now). Give us Clichy even though hes hopeless at defending (shudder). Very sad to see him go. Almost nothing got past enrique and his passing from LB into mid and LW is ridic. hes a fantastic all round LB. Hes either going to Liverpool or AC milan. Edited by seriously: 14/6/2011 11:08:29 PM

I doubt you'll get Adebayor, purely because his wage demands are stupidly high. Ba would be a good signing though.

Edited by imnofreak: 14/6/2011 11:11:10 PM This. Newcastle fans regard Barton and Carrol's old wages to be ridiculous, they're not going to be happy with the obscene fees that Ade and Clichy want. Ba is a good signing but he won't get much support.

imnofreak wrote:I doubt you'll get Adebayor, purely because his wage demands are stupidly high. Ba would be a good signing though. yeah. unfort. But we CAN afford him. Im sure city would let him go under evaluation of 14 mill. in other news. Liverpool basicalyl guaranteed Enrique deal. (assume 8 mill. If not more) So we have 38 mill left for xfers Ade - 14 mill valued by city (assume 12 mill xfer) Ba - Free Zog - (12mill valued by wig) - assume 11mill xfer. Clichy or equivalent - 5 mill (assume 5mill as arsene is a tight arse). Total = 12+11+5 = 28 mill. 10 spare for wages mill/ Jan xfer End of xfer = Cabaye, Zogbia, Ba, Adebayor, Clichy. Arfa + Gosling return from injury. Edited by seriously: 14/6/2011 11:24:13 PM

Ok so Arsenal rejected a big of 5m for Clichy from Liverpool and considered it derisory. What makes you think we'd accept the same bid from Newcastle
As for Adebayor, it's all well and good affording him, but why would he want to go to Newcastle. He thinks way way to highly of himself to go anywhere but a Champions League club.

Good then he can stay on the bench then and not play. If we can afford owen on 120k a week we can afford Ade on the same amount. He said so many shitty things about Manchini when he was at Real. There is Zero chance he will get any game time at Man City. Edited by seriously: 14/6/2011 11:23:49 PM

Manchini wants to bitch slap Ade. He wont even be on the Team bus after his comments. 120k a week is sufficient i believe to lure him to play. aka double Kewells wages at Liverpool. I dont see it happening but. We could afford him. Edited by seriously: 14/6/2011 11:29:21 PM

Edited by seriously: 14/6/2011 11:23:49 PM Owen came to the club before Ashley's tight-arse policies came along. 100% Guaranteed they won't want to be paying another player such an "obscene" wage. Especailly when Newcastle fans were up in arms over what Owen, Barton and Carroll were earning. Not to mention the fact that Adebayor probably doesn't even WANT to play for Newcastle.

This is the key to it all. He wouldn't even want to play for Newcastle so it's a non starter really.

If not we will have have to settle for that Turkish random who doesnt seem that special to me....gamiero fked us up the arse and went to PSG for some reason. He looked promising.
