Sagna has come out and said Fabregas wants to go to Barca. I know that is stating the obvious and before SydCro says it is going to take minimum 40million to sign him, I think pressure will grow on Wenger. It is not unusual for an Arsenal to player to start sulking, so it could be best if they parted ways before things get ugly.

I would not be suprised at all if Arsenal drop the price now or a player makes his way to Arsenal in part of a deal.

Who would Arsenal want in return?

I have no idea, I am sure any player would fit in nicely though.

I just can't see him staying at Arsenal much longer, 1 year max! United did this with Ronaldo and when a player has his heart set, there isn't much you can do. I know United had 80million reasons to sell him but it is the same thing really, we would have sold him anyway.

Elliott Bennett has finally completed a long awaited move from Brighton to Norwich. I suppose the signing of Buckley from Watford really paved the way for Bennett to leave. Sad to see him go, have a lot of admiration for him after he could have gone in January but stayed to help the club win league one. Wish him all the best at Norwich.

Bojan looks like the type of player Arsenal would like. Can't see him being great in the EPL but seems to be the most likely player in the event of a swap deal.

There won't be any swap deal unless it's for someone like Mascherano. It'll be 40m minimum or nothing. The biggest problem with all this is that Barca can't afford him. It doesn't matter how much Fabregas wants to go we will not be accepting a lower price just because he wants to leave. If Barca want him so bad they will have to stump up the cash or fuck off.

Any swap deal is only because Barca can't afford him.

Well if it doesn't matter what the fans think then why would Wenger be put under pressure, because the only way that would happen is if the vast majority of fans start speaking out against Fabregas and ask for him to be sold no matter the price.

That won't happen, so I really don't see where the pressure for Wenger in regards to Fabregas is going to come from.

Newcastle are reportedly close to signing Swiss international Tranquillo Barnetta.

They have a lot of valuable assets though. Arsenal would definitely take 25mil + a few players that are in and around their squad, like Bojan and Maxwell or something. I think so anyway. You don't need it all in cash if you are getting players you need/want.

:lol: 25m + players we wouldn't accept when we've alreaqdy rejected a bid of 30m + Bojan and Thiago. Like I said I think we'd only accept something like 30m + Mascherano or someone.

The other thing is, the positions that we need players in Barca wouldn't/ don't have any to offer.

In the end straight cash is the best deal for us.

It is coming from Fabregas wanting to play somewhere else.

No, because if there was any kind of excessive pressure Wenger wouldn't be coming out and flat out saying no to Barca, and if Cesc couldn't handle being in London anymore and wanted to get out so badly he could just as easily hand in a transfer request which he hasn't done.

The other thing he has to realise, and I think he does, that Arsenal have to do what's best for the club as well which is either, keeping Cesc, or getting the right amount of money.

In the end the best thing for the club is to keep him, and at the moment that isn't going to change.

If Cesc was to go who would you like to replace him. Maybe Rakitic?

I keep hearing this 12 mill for Enrique business, but there's no sign that anyone's actually willing to pay that much. On Nolan - figures vary from 1.5-3.5, depending who you listen to.

We wont pay 12mil for Enrique. 8mil is what is being bandied about, and it sounds fair enough.

I'd say that's fair enough for a guy in the last year of his contract.
