Let's see if anyone ponies up before then to nick him from under our nose. 8 mill cash, rising to 13 depending on success. Seems like a pretty cheap deal all things considered. Mind you, five years ago we were scoffing at similar figures for Theo Walcott... Not sure where all supposed this money is coming from, they've already laid out 30m bringing in guys they had on loan last season. Although, they're only talking E10m for Honda.

Although, they're only talking E10m for Honda. They need a striker IMO. Bringing in Pirlo means that a midfielder can wait. Spending big on Aguero is ok, but it will leave their bank account pretty empty.

Di Matteo is new assistant manager at Chelsea
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

 Rob Hulse has turned down a move to Milwall because he wants to prove himself at QPR and earn a spot in the 25 man squad.

That'll do nicely for starters.
Maybe Craig Gardner later today as well.

Good deal for Sunderland but surely only a season or two as a stepping stone for Wickham?

Actually, I signed Raul Garcia the season Atletico Madrid did  I have no idea what Mancini is thinking there, I mean...Cerci didn't even play half Fiorentina's games last season...he must just be trying to put together a collection of Europe's worst mullets or something.

I think he'll stay as long as Sunderland are challenging in the top half of the table and he's playing regularly.

There's rumours around that Wickham has a clause in his contract that says he can leave for 13 mill if we don't qualify for Europe in any season he's at the club. Wouldn't concern me greatly, so long as we get good service from him and we don't make a loss I'll be happy. As for how long he'll be at SAFC - I have no illusions - if he is as good as some are saying I'd expect him to be gone in 2-3 years. Again, so long as he plays well when he's with us I'll be happy.

Neymar is said to have chosen to join Real Madrid ahead of Chelsea and Barcelona but Santos president Luis Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro remains hopeful of retaining the player until 2012.

This really is a lol worthy comment from the Santos president"It's obvious given all the interest that the release clause is small in comparison to the player's true value."
Really? A release clause of 45m for a 19 year old with 64 first team games and 5 internationals is small in comparison to his true value. Seriously that is just hilarious.
