I'm excited to see how Tunniclife goes, think he can definitely play a key role for us in the future
On my rant about City stealing our targets in reference to Nasri, it's no coincidence that the four biggest names we've been linked with this summer Nasri, Sanchez, Sneijder, Modric have all been linked to City after interest from United was declared in the press, next thing we know and Chelsea will be after Nasri too, it's been a similar story with them this off season too

Yea I'm a little suss on the whole Nasri to United thing. I don't want to see it happen. I can handle him leaving as long as we replace him with quality. But not to a direct rival, especially United. Do you guys even need him?
Also Clichy to City seems like it's pretty much a done deal to City for 7m. As above, as long as we replace him with quality, I'm ok. I think he's way too error prone these days. 2 or 3 seasons back it looked like we had a world beater on our hands but he's gone downhill. Quality player, but costly errors, decision making issues and no real end product. Baines would be sweeeeeet.

Yeah word is SAF fancies him as the best option to replace Scholes, Wenger won't want to sell to us but surely if the offer is good enough he won't let another Flamini situation happen Edited by fredsta: 2/7/2011 05:04:22 PM

The interest in nasri from United is real, and if they're willing to pay in the region of 20m for hi they can have him, he is easily replaceable, more replaceable than a fair few players at the club.
Just hope United fans know he'll be whining for a pay rise as soon as he has another good 6 months.

Where are you going to find another EPL-proven attacking midfielder for under 20m from, sydcro?

Wonder if City would be interested in a swap and cash deal for Adam Johnson, I know I sure as hell would be. Obviously finding an EPL proven left winger for under 20m won't be easy but there are players who could come in and do just as good if not better job than Nasri. Some people are saying Nasri will be harder to replace than Cesc which is just absolutely ridiculous  20m could also go a long way to buying Mata if we really wanted to. My point is that replacing Nasri is easier than replacing someone like Cesc or Sagna. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 2/7/2011 06:49:05 PM

Scott Carson has joined Turkish side Bursaspor for an undisclosed fee.
West Ham accepted a 10m bid for Scott Parker, but the midfielder rejected the move because he didn't want to uproot his young family.

Quote:20m could also go a long way to buying Mata if we really wanted to. Except Mata's release clause is 23m and he's not proven outside of Spain. Replacing Fabregas wouldn't be that hard when for 35-40m you could bring in Montolivo or Hamsik or Schweinsteiger or Alonso or Sissoko and have change.

Did I say 20m would buy Mata, just that it would go a long way. Yeah he's not proven outside of Spain, but with attacking midfielders with EPL experience being hard to come buy he would be worth the punt. Fabregas would be almost impossible to replace when he is so vital to the team and the way we play all revolves around him. Any other player bar Xavi, Iniesta or Sneijder would be a downgrade. You'd think so, but you'd be wrong. Right now you could pick up Andrea Poli and Marek Hamsik (who would slot straight into Cesc's role), who would fix your midfield shortcomings and still have 10m change to put towards another defender.

Napoli won't be selling Hamsik for anything less than a huge price, and even then I'd rather keep Cesc rather than spend most of what we'd make off him on Hamsik. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 2/7/2011 07:17:12 PM 25m should be enough to get Hamsik off Napoli. And Poli will cost fuck all now that Sampdoria are relegated. Sometimes it's important to know when to cash in.

Apparently we just bid for Pastore
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Yeah we signed Bellerin and Toral around the same time. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2011/05/26/2504735/arsenal-snap-up-barcelona-prospects-jon-toral-hectorAll organised by their agent Pere Guardiola, Pep Guardiola's brother.

Dario Conca - for those who do not know him, was the best player in the Brazilian league last season and was only recently linked with clubs like Tottenham and Sevilla - moves from Fluminense to Guangzhou Evergrande in China for $20 million USD and is going to earn $10.5 million a season - what the fuck~!
