Tbh I wouldn't take much credence in any fee bandied about. I've seen fees from 7m upfront rising to 12 with add ons to 15m.

I highly dougbt it's 15m because Wenger wouldn't go that close to our transfer record on a 17 year old. I get the feeling it'll be 7m rising to 12 with add ons, but of course people will say it's 12m and use it as another way to try and criticise Wenger.

Don't try to make this sound like everyone is out to get Wenger alone. It happens with every club. We signed Henderson for 16m but it's quoted as 20, the Mancs got Jones for 17 (I think) but everyone calls it 20. Everyone tries to exaggerate to make it look worse.

But people don't use that 16 rising to 20 for Henderson as a stick to beat Kenny with and the same for Jones with Fergie, but people will do it with Wenger.
