I'll remind you of that when the FFA run out of money completely in a few years time, and we're still flying high with our Billionaire Russian.

If WSW fails and the FFA run out of money completely, the entire A-League will disappear.

Or don't you realise that? Your billionaire Russian won't mean jack.

Not really it will just be a 9 team comp until FFA try to cover up their mismanagement by another snow job and introduce another melbourne, western australia, canberra or QLD side. Lots of options for FFA to snow job the public. Ah it's good run a big show with such incompetence and not be accountable. After all the football community aren't very bright are they?

I am still trying to figure out how 2 Croatian players and 1 Australian-Croatian, so 3 players, in a squad of 15 at the moment constitutes some type of majority? The way some people have reacted you'd be forgiven for thinking there was only 1 or 2 players with no Croatian heritage, not 12.

Exactly. Plus the coaching staff of 2 only makes it 5 in total of 14. Hardly a majority at this point. But don't worry poppa and milicic have 5 years to fix that up. Kalac is also doing his part.

It's all good!!

How on earth does it make it 5/14 when there's 15 players and 5 in the coaching staff.

If you add the coaching staff it's 5/20.

Perhaps you need to rejig your figures a bit...coach plus assistant coach = 2.

Tony Popovic has continued the development of his Wanderers FC squad, with the club unveiling Croatian pair Dino Kresinger and Mateo Poljak as the latest recruits.

Kresinger arrived in the country on Friday and will have his first training session with the Wanderers today at Blacktown International Sportspark.

The 30-year-old will add to an already strong forward line and also add a large amount of experience to the Wanderers squad.

Before his arrival in Australia, Kresinger has spent his entire playing career in Croatia, playing 11 seasons in the Croatian league across five clubs.

Poljak arrived in Australia on Sunday and will also have his first session with the Wanderers today.

The 22-year-old has represented the Croatian Under 19 side and spent five seasons at the Lokomotiva Zagreb side in the Croatian league.

Coach Tony Popovic is happy to have the Croatian as part of the Wanderers squad.

“It’s great to have the guys here, they are two guys that we have monitored for a while,” Popovic said.

“Dino is someone that is the ultimate professional, he’s been in the game for a long time and wants to do well in Australia,” he added.

“Mateo is very technical and he has high aspirations to perform well in Australia, he sees this as a great challenge for him to have and be out of his comfort zone is something that he is looking forward to.”

The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers FC today confirmed the signing of their first two foreign imports, with Croatians Dino Kresinger and Mateo Poljak agreeing to terms with the club.

Not quite sure I'm the one who needs to rejig my figures.

15 players currently in squad + 1 Manager, Assistant Manager, GK Coach, Strength and Conditioning Coach and a Youth Coach.

Now correct me if I am wrong but that's 15 players + 5 on the coaching staff?

No actually I don't see why anyone has a problem with it. No one seems to have a problem with 6 Anglo players in the squad, and rightly so, so why is 3 Croatian players, 1 of which is Australian, a problem?

Its more the idea that this club was meant to be for all the west, which it still is. Thing is with having 5-6 or however many people in the club with Croatian heritage and no Greek, Italians etc, it gives the club a Croatian image. If we turned the tables and the club had 5-6 Serbians and no Croats, you might understand.

Im not saying its a croatian club just that there is a possibility it might deter some people because of the croatian image.

But regardless as I said they both look like good signing and very interested to see how Poljak goes in this new wave of younger imports

I couldn't care less if there were 5-6 Serbians and no Croats, as long as they are good enough it doesn't matter what nationality they are, and anyone who does have a problem with it and is deterred from supporting the club because of what nationality a player is, well that's not someone I want supporting my club.

Fair enough point. Actually thats a really good point. The nationality shouldn't matter and people shouldn't care. Probably how it should be rather than giving hand outs to players from elsewhere just to fill a quota.

Still not gonna stop me calling you guys the Croatian Wanderers

See I've got no problem with you calling us that because I know it's just a piss take  It's the people who actually seriously believe there's something wrong with signing 2 Croatian players that I have a problem with.

Sydneycroatia58,

Here is the problem created by your croatian NSWPL club which popovic and milicic hail from and are proud to promote and push their barrow at every given opportunity. Now this is your clubs doing which creates the issue in other peoples eyes.

Considering NSWPL is the second tier and supposedly feeder clubs for A-league teams here a persons ethnic background should not come into play at any stage at this level right? It should be if your good enough then your good enough right...

This is your Sydney United U/20's side and feeder to your first grade which in turn is a feeder for a-league.

Coach: Ante Zmire

Stephen Vuckovic
Brayden Jorge
Robert Kolak
Jakov Radas
Ante Zovko
Stipan Jezercic
Stephen Drewery
Michaljo Jonjic
Joal Carter
Mathew Bilic
Jon Krajacic
Marko Vuckovic

Are you seeing a problem here? Are you seeing why the rest of the football community who are not croatian have fears about what the Wanderers culture will become and is starting to look like?

Despite some minority peoples beliefs croatians do not make up the majority of the cultures of sydney's west. Go to grassroots games and take a good look. You know those poor bastards that will never be good enough to play in your SU58 U/20's side.

This has been a problem created by certain people and they need to put this right.

Here is the bottomline of my beliefs.
If they are good enough no matter what their cultural backgrounds the door should be open for them to play. If cultural backgrounds are choking off pathways then they need to be kicked out.

Don't shoot down everyone else for a problem that has been clearly created a minority group. Not the people that so are pissed off with seeing this this type rubbish. Messages like these spread through out country and despite what some people think the football community are not as stupid as they think.

Based on what you're saying *tinfoil hat*, the Socceroos are also highly influenced by the culture of Sydney United FC *tinfoil hat*. Boycott the Socceroos and support Sydney FC [the most multicultural club, according to Vincenzogold], me says!

You mean the faileroos packed full of duds that never qualified for a world cup until they were punted...Oh yeah those faileroos...you mean the same faileroos that the green and gold jersey mean't nothing to because they weren't wearing red, white n blue.

Tinfoil hat? is that the best you can do? Piss poor effort your like your sydney united fc faileroos. To be expected.

Can't wait to see the rest of a-league sides hand west sydney hajduk wanderers their arse on a platter

GO THE MARINERS!!! ARNIE = LEGEND

Good signings from NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Croatian Wanderers. Nice to see another young visa player

Surely sydcro you can see why people have a problem with this? Even if you dont agree.

How many serbians are in the wanderers considering bonnyrigg white eagles (serbian club) have taken the NSWPL by storm and owned the NSWPL league this season and also Robbie Younis from BWE is the NSWPL top goal scorer...

Nobody have a problem with that? Of course we all know there are no problems with cro's and serbs. That's why ALL Sydney United (cro) V Bonnyrigg white eagles (serb) are closed to the general public.

Serbs are australians and have a proud west sydney footballing heritage as well!!

Considering we are in asia and getting flogged by the japanese aren't there any asian lads worth a look?

Dear me...What could be happening to west sydney hajduk wanderers??

90% percent of the WSW club are Australians and 2 players out of 22 are Croatian how anyone could think this club is Croatian is beyond me. In two years time there will probably be two Costa Ricans at the club will they be a Costa Rican club then, is Adelaide now an Argentinian club now they have signed their 3rd Argentine in two years.
