Chelsea confirm the signing of Victor Moses. Hope he enjoys sitting down for long periods of time.

Probably overpriced as an individual - but in terms of what he should bring to the team - a bit of strength and a genuine target up front, with two years experience of playing well in bad teams, he could pay off. We had Bendtner last season - Fletcher actually has a better record than him, playing in lesser teams, and comes with the added benefit of not being a coward when the boots start flying.

Stoke have agreed a deal to sign Maurice Edu. Just needs to get through a medical and be granted a work permit and the deal will be complete.

Maicon is not in squad of Inter. Transferr to Real M or Man C is rumoured.
As left back joins from Porte, I can't expect where Nagatomo would be when new season starts. Could be in bench, could be in right/left back.....

In other news, Ryo Myachi turned up to training and ate breakfast. Thought you'd like to know, Viper.

I'd have thought they'd go with someone more used to picking the ball out of the net...

I'd suspect they have saved a bit on wages as well. It may be a bold statement with the way they have started, but if Scott goes and they don't replace him i can see them falling into the relegation battle this year.

I think most would have Swansea near the bottom. I know it's a great start but think they might be in for a long season.

Their opponents in the first 2 games have literally gifted them goals, and are two sides who will be near the bottom. Will wait till they play some better teams before judging them. As for Sinclair, bad move for him. Yet another example of the Home Grown rule being used for all the wrong reasons. Also funny to see Sinclair moving to City after saying this last summer "Leaving Chelsea was the best decision I ever made as I’m finally playing every weekend, showing everyone what I can do"

Rooney injury could wreck Berbatov dealManchester United will assess the extent of Wayne Rooney's injury before allowing Dimitar Berbatov to leave for Fiorentina. The Italian club are confident that a £5m offer for the 31-year-old striker will be accepted, although should Rooney's injury keep him out for longer than the four weeks predicted by his manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, it will hinder the deal. The gash in the striker's thigh, caused by a collision with Fulham's Hugo Rodallega on Saturday, was so serious that Rooney had to be stitched under general anaesthetic and, if there has been muscle damage, Ferguson's prognosis may have to be doubled. Nevertheless, after offering Berbatov a two-year package worth £3.2m, Fiorentina are confident that the Bulgarian will leave Old Trafford. In contrast to Michael Owen, who appeared happy enough with League Cup football, Berbatov does not want to stay at the club if he barely plays. Even with Rooney on the sidelines, he would still be only United's fourth-choice forward and keeping him to the final year of his contract would cost the club around £4m in wages. In light of Rooney's injury, The Mirror revisits last week's ManUtd.com interview with Chicharito, where the Mexican admitted: "The great thing about this club is you know you will get opportunities because we play so many games in different tournaments." The Sun, meanwhile, claims that Rooney's future at Old Trafford is far from assured, even when he does return from injury. Manchester City are reportedly the only interested party, with the striker valued at £50million. http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/What-The-Papers-Say/2012/Aug/papers-rooney-injury-could-scupper-berbatov-exit.aspx

United have got RVP, Hernandez, Welbeck, Macheda and Bebe in a 1-striker system and Wayne Rooney's injury is going to derail a move for Berbatov? Seriously?

There's no way that United would let 4 months get in the way of finally getting Berbatov off the wage bill. Not to mention they've got last season's golden boot winner on the squad list.

Following Fletcher and Johnson, third big signing on the way in the next 48 hours.
Then all we'll need is a leftback to replace Richardson (who was never really a left back)

Would have been good for our squad but I'm glad we didn't chase him. He will play at Spurs, he would have been in and out at United. Good move for both.

The faith that was shown in Cleverley last season during the Sneijder saga is proof that he will be given every chance until he gives SAF a reason to look elsewhere.
Maybe in terms of his current form, yes, Dembele could get a run of games but not under the current circumstances at this time. Scholes is in his last season, Carrick is first choice, Cleverley will be given his chance, Anderson is playing for his future, Kagawa can play in there. Probably one or two others that are not in my mind at the moment.
Good player but the timing would have been poor in my opinion.
