Can we sign, you know, a better goalkeeper if we're looking for one?

Pepe's been shit this season, I think you definitely need a better keeper.

He's been magnificent for the last five years, to get rid of him because he's had an average few months would be very harsh. I think a lot of it comes down to the inadequacy of Skrtel and Agger as a central pairing.

Apparently Real are finally ready to let Kaka go, still think he has a lot to offer a lot of clubs, but can see him going back to Milan.

Agree that he has been a good servant to the club, but I think it's time for him to go.

We're better off without him anyway. We need some more experienced players in the squad. Our last half dozen signings have all been under 24.

Martin Petrov has completed his move to Espanyol.
AC Milan have allegedly opened talks with Real Madrid for the loan of Kaka.

That would be brilliant for him AND Milan. They've lost so many of their big names lately...

"The finances of the move don't come into it - Newcastle's offer was very good as well. It's not based on money in any way." - Loic Remy. I call bullshit.

Newcastle have turned their attention to St. Etienne's Pierre-Erick Aubameyang after missing out on Loic Remy according to L'Equipe.
L'Equipe also report that Everton and Tottenham have joined Inter in the race for Younes Belhanda.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Arsenal are going to have to make a big offer if they want to pry Edinson Cavani away from Cavani. "For Cavani I have already received a €55 million (£46m) bid, and I said no. I need him, not the money.” said their chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Wallcott resigns with Arsenal. Gosh that was a Rooney-esque awfully drawn out process.
I don't think he will have won himself many friends on the Arsenal board.

Walcott needed a kick in the pants, he's about to get it from Wenger.

Vegard Forren looks set to turn down Liverpool and join Southampton for 4m. He's meant to be on trial at anfield today but the Daily Mirror () is reporting Solskjaer as saying a deal has been struck with Southampton. Yeah apparently he's turned down the trial to sign for Southampton. We'll find out in a couple of hours I guess. Just joined Southampton.

afromanGT wrote:Walcott needed a kick in the pants, he's about to get it from Wenger. I hope so. I can't hide my dislike for Arsenal but no club should be treated like that. It's a complete lack of respect for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. What's stopping him doing it again, or leaving when the petro-dollars come in with even higher. He's shown his hand and it's all about the $$$ for him. Don't take this as bias but is he really worth that? Will paying him more money lead to others dummy-spitting? Will the next crop of talent go somewhere else because Arsenal are spending millions keeping this little princess happy? I say this because like my club Arsenal are run strictly. Surely the money they've found for Theo is coming from somewhere else? Youth development? Potential signings? Sadly it does't grow on trees.

I thought that, but the media would have a field day calling Arsenal a selling club who can't keep their stars. I guess they had to keep one to show that they can keep their star players.

They probably should have done something sooner and kept a better player than the likes of Walcott.

I'm not so sure, 100k was the demand all along according to the BBC. Even if that wasn't the case, Arsenal had plenty of time to sign him as per his demand before City (he signed after the season started if you remember). Seriously, nothing good comes of letting players run down their contract, we need to start dishing out ultimatums: sign or go.
