He's been magnificent for the last five years, to get rid of him because he's had an average few months would be very harsh. I think a lot of it comes down to the inadequacy of Skrtel and Agger as a central pairing.

I hope so. I can't hide my dislike for Arsenal but no club should be treated like that. It's a complete lack of respect for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. What's stopping him doing it again, or leaving when the petro-dollars come in with even higher. He's shown his hand and it's all about the $$$ for him.
