Alvaro Negredo now looks set for Manchester City and not Atletico Madrid as first thought
Brazilian right back Maicon, yeah remember him, is apparently allowed to move on if an acceptable offer is put in.
Besiktas claim that have made a very serious offer to Sp*rs for Adebayor.
Claudio Pizzaro has signed a 1 year contract extension at Bayern Munich
Newcastle have signed yet another Frenchman with young U17 international Olivier Kemen joining from Metz
Norwich have signed England U21 international winger Nathan Redmond from Birmingham City
Laurent Blanc has been making kissy faces in the general direction of Yohan Cabaye
Wigan have signed Scott Carson from Bursaspor

It'd be very strange if a PL club was willing to a) pay a high enough price for him, and b) cop a suspension for th first few games of the season. Plus! Didn't this whole 'Suarez leaving' rumour start because he was unsettled in England? Got the media is dumb sometimes.

English clubs will be looking at that, looking at the insane release clause on Cavani and going "Well...he's out for 6 games, give us a discount" and Liverpool laugh in their faces. Suarez won't be going anywhere. He's not worth the trouble for majority, if not all of the teams out there who can actually afford him.

He'd have to serve the 6 games wherever he ends up if he does in fact leave I'd imagine?

Because the ban was FA mandated and not UEFA, I'd think it would depend on the purchasing club's FA, what they think of the punishment and what they think of the English FA. Quote:Teams have signed players for what they can do on the field, regardless of where you think the players headspace is.
Tevez and Balotelli are two great examples. That may be true, but neither Tevez nor Balitelli have served significant FA mandated suspensions on multiple occasions in their careers.

Also continuing chase for Dutch U21 keeper, with Swedish U21 the back up plan. Heard anything about Vito Mannone? Signed, but apparently well under the fee that people are talking about. Mendy and Altidore deals all but sorted. It's a new f*cking team!!

I'd love to see Villa come to Atletico.
ESPN are reporting that Liverpool have rejected a 30m bid from Arsenal for Suarez.

Mario Gomez moving to Fiorentina.
Club statement from Sky: "Bayern have agreed with Fiorentina for the transfer of Mario Gomez. In the next few days, contracts will be concluded and signed"
Everton have also confirmed the signing of Arouna Kone from Wigan. Approx 5mil.

Fee is being reported at 20m. I'm a Gomez fan, but that seems a bit steep.

Didn't they sign that Leo Baptistao guy already? 5.1mil is an absolute bargain - I think that's in euros too. Brilliant business. A little disappointed that Spurs didn't land him though, especially if that's all he cost.

Quote: A little disappointed that Spurs didn't land him though, especially if that's all he cost. According to Marca he was subject to "a ridiculous offer" from Spurs but they rejected it as he was already in talks with Atleti. I'm not sure about Baptistao, but he's young so a lot could happen. I'm not really a fan of Adrian, and his scoring record is average. They've got a few secondary forwards like Diego Costa, Adrian and Baptistao, but if Villa is injured there's nobody to lead the attack.

Pretty sure it's been confirmed by Dortmund now as well Sporting Director Michael Zorc Quote:We are delighted that we got a fantastic new signing for the attacking midfield role in Henrikh Mikhitaryan And Chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke Quote:It was not an easy transfer, but we really wanted to have Henrikh - and now we have him

Benjamin Mendy is set to join Marseille and Velez have confirmed that Gino Peruzzi has rejected a contract offer from Sunderland after the 2 clubs had agreed a fee.
