Seems a bit pointless, selling Caulker just to bring in this guy.

Selling a top rated home grown talent and then bringing in a 23 year old no-name doesn't make much sense.

Unless this is an agent-inspired move. Given Ekotto is out of favour, perhaps spurs are looking to bring in Stefan Radu.

Perhaps, I don't know the full story. Caulker wasn't quite ready to play every game. I wouldn't be putting him ahead of a fit Dawson or Kaboul.

Vertonghen, Dawson and Kaboul are all a level above Caulker/Chiriches regardless.

He did have potential though. I would have preferred a loan to Cardiff but I understand he wasn't keen on a loan.

What he does have on Dawson is a corner/set-piece threat.

They didn't play with anyone up front against United until Torres came on. He did go into central areas at times but I wouldn't say he played as a striker.
