Zombie survival vehicle KARLA PINCOTT CARSGUIDE11 OCTOBER 2013 Hyundai reveals the SUV you'll need to survive a zombie apocalypse. Hyundai has rolled out the ultimate Zombie Survival Machine, complete with all the specialised armour and arsenal you'll need to see you through any zombie apocalypse. Razor-wired windows? Check. Bristling array of protruding knife blades? Check. Three machine guns, automatic crossbow and samurai sword? Yep, it's all here, dressed in aluminium armour and grungy urban camo. The winning result of a fan-based competition -- from US owner of a Hyundai Santa Fe, Anson Kuo -- the Zombie Survival Machine was chosen from more than 82,500 entries submitted on the brand's Walking Dead Chop Shop configurator app. Kuo based the design on his own SUV, with the result built by Galpin Auto Sports and unveiled at the New York Comic-Con. "My main design goal was to make the vehicle as stealthy and spacious as possible," said Kuo. "I knew knives and blades would be the best bet for weaponry - they could slice and dice the zombies without releasing any ammunition. "Basing the design on the Santa Fe allows space for extra passengers as well as weapons, supplies and all the other necessary items needed during a real zombie apocalypse." This is the second zombie survival vehicle to bear a Hyundai badge -- playing off their product placement in the hit TV series The Walking Dead and their partnership with creator of the original graphic novels, Robert Kirkman. Last year saw Kirkman himself design a vehicle based on the Hyundai Elantra, which went on show at the 2012 Comic-Con. See video of the Robert Kirkman Zombie Survival Vehicle here. It looked sensational, but if it came down to a choice between the two, we're with Kuo. When the apocalypse comes, the better fuel economy of the Elantra might be atrractive, but you're going to need a vehicle with the extra space and ride height of the Santa Fe to truly do meaningful battle. http://dailytelegraph.carsguide.com.au/news-and-reviews/car-news/zombie_survival_vehicle

Quality. good overall delivery. Though, once again it's the black guy that gets it. I swear that they only have black characters on the show so people know who is going to die.
Not sure what they're doing with carl though. he has so much potential to become bad arse, but they continue to give him the son of a cop whining out look. The kid's a stone cold killer and should be moving into this role sooner rather than later.
looking forward to ep 2.

Nah I'm pretty sure he survived, it was that young white guy who was trying to guess Daryl's story that died, he seemed to be romantically involved with Beth or whatever her name is.

The black guy survived, they showed him laying down in his bed being all pensive and shit in the final scenes. I don't get how the chick in the tent could have survived like that for so long, and so close to the prison without noticing it or them noticing her.

Yeah, Beth's fella died as well as Carl's friend and the crazy chick. Apparently that black guy will be a main character.

Not sure why everyone is so fixated on zombie apocalypse, personally fiction relating to nuclear apocalypse is more interesting. Fallout, the Book of Eli, the Road, V for Vendetta and so on.

Fallout, the Book of Eli, the Road, V for Vendetta and so on. For me, it is because the concept of taking an axe or katana or shotgun to a zombie feels perfectly acceptable. Even in a post-apocalyptic war-torn setting, I still don't want to kill other humans. If you had to do it, sure I get that, but for me it's not 'fun' like zombies.

Even on mass scales it's more likely to see humanity bond together than it is to rip it apart as a zombie apocalypse does. Book of Eli was good though, until the end with the whole god on my side saving the bible shit. could've been super awesome.

Anyone taking bets on what happens today?
I reckon they're going to destroy the prison and see the death of Hershel, the Governor, the return of Carol and hopefully more sociopathic Carl!
Lately I've gone back to the beginning of the comics and started again, it's such a kick in the teeth to see how much of a pussybitch TV Tyrese is.
Just in case
Yeah, I like has been washed up athlete from the comic much better than this dude. He should be a lot more hot headed. But then the same can be said for Rick. Rick is ever the optimist where in the comic he was a realist
Daryl is a main stay, he could get shot in the head and they'd find a Neurosurgeon and an abandoned hospital with a back up generator and with the assistance of Rick and Hershel have him back on his feet in a day or two.

Yeah, loved it, total mayhem!
what do you think about lil' asskicker? dead or saved? I hope for dead to keep true to the comic but knowing American television I think we'll see her with one of the women on the bus soon enough.
Hershel's scene was awesome too! and the river Zombie, awesome make up!

Edited by Rocknerd: 3/12/2013 09:29:36 AM I'm almost certain that
Tyrese took Judith with him and the other kids. I think they are going to run into Carol outside the prison and it's going to come out that Carol didnt kill Karen & David, but she was covering for the psychopath little girl. Tyrese will have a big moral conundrum.
Edited by notorganic: 3/12/2013 11:32:37 AM

Book of Eli was good though, until the end with the whole god on my side saving the bible shit. could've been super awesome. Most f*cked up story of all time... Religion blamed for the end of the world - due to the power wielded by the people who carry the message... Bad guy spends the whole film trying to get hold of that power, so that he can be the uber-bad-guy... Hero must stay alive in order to perpetuate the power that can be used for badness... His victor is secured when he manages to transcribe said power into written form thus enabling the whole negative process to begin again. As a side-note, considering how much of religion is based on word-of-mouth and the slow and often unintentional twisting of the truth, how ironic that the definitive Bible of the future will be based on one man's memory. Moral - man doesn't learn.

Also I hate that Michonne got the last laugh with the Governor but I love the fact it was that woman that finished him off, that was the perfect way to end his character imo

Michonne is too important to the series to die, especially in the back 8 episodes of this season. She also fills the gaps that the death of Andrea in the TV show presented to the adaptation. There are a huge amount of times that Andrea saves the survivors from certain death at the last moment in the comics. That said, Daryl does fill that role pretty completely.
For readers: Abraham, Rosita and Eugene have been cast for next season.
In a way the TV series came back into line with the comics at the mid-season finale, but at the same time so much has been changed in terms of characters that are alive and dead AND how they behave that it's getting a bit fuzzy.

Didn't know whether it was a movie or TV show, but know it's zombie-esque so am putting this in here.
Watched the BBCs In the Flesh. Quality! Well worth a watch. Them feels at the end!

In the Flesh was alright, but generally a bit preachy. never made it to te end of the final ep though. My Foxtel box shit it self and deleted 3 months worth of shows one day for no other reason but it felt like it.
For those who care, Aussie Zombie Film coming out soon Wyrmwood. Filmed in the Blue Mountains and totally awesome! Checkout the trailers for it on Facebook.
Also Dead Snow 2 (dod Sno 2) coming out really soon see youtube.
