im only about 170. I'm quite short i must admitt, but hey i play goalkeeper, and best goalkeeper 4 years in a row in my comp, with on average 8 penalty saves a year aint too bad.

I'm about 1.76m. I want to grow taller though, I hope I do.

Good reflexes and reading the player. My keeping is woeful :lol: I'm good at claiming crosses, but I always get caught in no-mans land when the ball's on the ground in the box ](*,)

I'm 6'1" and a half.....I had my last growth spurt about 10 years ago, don't think I'm gonna hit the elusive 6'2" mark anytime soon.

178cm is no short you goose. that's like 5'10.

They could break your legs and stretch them out for that extra half an inch.

Your teammates must be quite shit if you are conceding that amount of penalties in regular time. My record in matches over the past 10 years would be about 40% success rate, once you hit a decent level there is no-saving quite a lot of the penalties that you face.

One of my Center Backs is a lad, and has a habbit of nasty sliding tackles, fists that tend to break the occasional nose, and a mouth like a drunken sailor, he gets plenty of red cards, and hence we only see him for a couple games a season :lol: but he's dedicated, shows up to training every week, and is generally a nice bloke,

One of my Defensive midfielders is Lebanese, and also tends to tackle dangerously, and has the second highest Red card rate in my team.

My right back is a lazy short fuck (shorter then me) and just slide tackles and doesn't bother chasing or running much, and the other defender is half chinese and has a habbit of pulling opposition forwards shirts during the match, he gets plenty of Yellows.

Yes i have an imcompetent team, but we still have won 2 finals in 4 years.

Actually, I'm surprised they let you on the ground, or is that ok for anyone to rock up and have a kick? In Newy, where the Jets youth team play, Adamstown Oval, the whole place is fenced off so you can't get in. At another good football ground here, Darling Street Oval, there's nothing to stop you getting in, but they take the goalposts out. So yeah, that's pretty cool that you got to have a casual kick on a surface like that.

It's an astroturf surface. Really good, but a little slippy. I almost rolled my ankle twice on that surface.

It's out the back of the local italian club, so if you want to go have a kick there it's ok. They get pissed of you go and play on the grass surface there though.

Yeah it's pretty awesome. And yeah anyone can just rock up and have a kick.
The only thing is, I have to take 2 trains and 2 buses to get there which takes me 1 and a half hours. :lol:
