Yeah he's not in the country I think but I'm pretty sure that was for a holiday/to catch up with family, I think the word is that if things don't work out with a new contract at MV he will stay in Costa Rica.

Why? Because overall he is lazy and prone to going missing. Sure he will bob up with a cracker of a goal once in a while and even put in a good 45mins from time to time but overall he fails to get through 90mins and fades badly. Newbie fans may love this type of player but managers do not...had to laugh when Miligan gave him a nice spray in the last home game when failed to chase... and when you demand a wage of 300k you have to do more. If he was fit and was prepared to do more then maybe he would be worth it..maybe.

He has been the same player since he started with Melbourne, Melbourne fans do not complain not just because he is leaving. He is an CAM his job is not to run back and defend all the time his job is to attack make goals simple.

Preference is to stay at MV and in Melbourne (where he loves it)

But will move to another A-Leaqgue club if he cant work it out with MV (likely adelaide)

His agent has spoken to only MV so far.

Bit conflicted about this potential move tbh. He's a great player in the A-League but just knowing where he's coming from is rather annoying.

I do agree he is the lazy type of player but at the end of the day hes got a great strike and is great in the attacking midfield position.The man has class and is skilfull.
If he signs for a club that has a manager with a clear vision then im sure he would be a good signing and as for $300k i guess thats a little too much but if he'd sign for $250k id definetly sign him.
Its not his fault both Durakovic and Magilton had no clue who was thier best player for each position as it was always getting changed.
A good hard working defensive mid could cover up and do the dirty work offcource it wouldnt work if we signed a lazy definsive mid though or a usless one like McFlynn for instance.

On topic though I think for Carlos it will be stay in Melbourne as he has made it a home but if nothing materializes (including with Heart) I think he will just go back to Costa Rica rather than relocate his family and home again.

In regards to relocating, Carlos does not want to move from Melbourne, and even he has stated that, but if they are not talking to him (according to my sources) than he has resigned to move elsewhere in A-League reach for the near future.

That being said, he is also very close to his extended family and does get homesick from time to time. A move to Costa Rica? Not forseeable if A League Clubs show interest!
