Thread for all discussions on the game of Hattrick HattrickIf you're new, post your details. Sweet as. OFFICIAL 442 HATTRICK LEAGUE RULES-We're working on a 3 Strike system. If you're found responsible for a tie not being played 3 times, you're out. No If's, no But's. Done. All ties have to be organised by 7pm the day before. here are no set home sides. Don't wait for your opponent to challenge, just cause he appears first in the fixture. It's first in best dressed. This will not be accepted as an excuse. If it's coming up to the deadline, and you've challenged but have no response, take a screenshot for proof. Otherwise No one gets the walkover, and you both get a strike. i've challenged you k.
Im in all bot-league after being relegated last season, (signed up to a side towards end of season that had no hope) its hilarious because i now have a fairly okay side, and i have a for and against of 18-1 after three games.

only costs money if you want some of the extra bells and whistles that are not necessary

Im just starting to get a hang of the game. I bought some younguns that i hope i turn into my future best players. My current best (going on TSI) is my Keeper, but usually Moe Pore is the key to the games, according to the game reports anyway... No one special in my team i know, but i think for the level it isn't too bad. Any help would be greatly appreciated, i've upgraded my trainer recently too... O, and i have shit all money :d Edited by Nico: 14/7/2008 11:05:49 PM

haha they have just recently made making money a lot harder the reason is the transfer prices had nearly doubled in the last few seasons so they had to stop this, so they reducing wealth in teams few tips: if you are getting full houses, upgrade your stadium for higher income also, setting up a youth academy is a good way to find good young players if you use firefox foxtrick is a good little application with lots of links to helpful sites www.alltid.org is a site which tracks your teams form and whatnot, good way to see if your team is improving and what parts of your team need greatest improvement try to even out your team, dont just spend all money on one good player make sure you dont put yourself in a tough financial situation, be careful which staff you hire, economists are a waste fo money form is very important man i could go on for hours, haha once again, just read the manual and the conferences the FAQ helps too

That site is excellent, so much easier to see whats going on with the squad. O and according to that i got the best player wrong, its neither of the ones i thought it was. An opinion on whether my young Swiss guys were good buys and any good??? 18y.o Richard Zumbrunnen - http://alltid.org/player/207765809/ http://www88.hattrick.org/Common/playerDetails.asp?playerID=20776580917y.o David Berlemont - http://alltid.org/player/200635652/ http://www88.hattrick.org/Common/playerDetails.asp?playerID=200635652Sorry if your bored with all my questions but you did offer :d Edited by Nico: 15/7/2008 01:45:43 AM

as im not on your profile i cannot see what his skills are, just his TSI (Total Skill Index) tsi doesnt indicate who is your best player, but it is a good idea of it looks like you picked these guys up for an alright price what is their primary skill?? (scoring, winger, defender, keeper, playmaker) also, stamina is becoming increasingly important in the game, so try to have that at least passable on all your players.

Most of my players are solid in stamina, some excellent and some just passable.
David Berlemont 17 years and 84 days, passable form, healthy
Speciality: Powerful
Total Skill Index (TSI): 610
Stamina: passable Goalkeeping: disastrous Playmaking: poor Passing: poor Winger: poor Defending: solid Scoring: weak Set Pieces: solid
Richard Zumbrunnen 19 years and 1 days, passable form, healthy
Total Skill Index (TSI): 670
Stamina: passable Goalkeeping: disastrous Playmaking: passable Passing: passable Winger: wretched Defending: poor Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: poor
Currently training in Playmaking, thinking of swapping at end of season to Defending? Should i already be doing this?
O, and on stamina, i recently took my keeper out of team and training and put him into individual training (obviously therefore stamina), is this a good idea or does he get some benefit from training in playmaking?

i would be training defending, a 17 yr old solid defender is very good! he will improve playmake, but he does not need it as he is a keeper haha i still wouldnt take him off, it doesnt really make much of a difference, he wont get extra stamina training, only no playmake training but, if you change to defending, this skill does help for keepers so def train him passing secondaries are also good, so nice work on the 19 yr old definetely change to defending training try not to buy old players, young is better! 26 at the eldest

good try to stick to young players, but if you go for 17,18,19 yr olds their prices go very high make sure you use the transfer compare button before buying anyone, so you dont pay too much

I may be wrong, but i think if you're going for younger talent, its probably a good idea to upgrade you trainer if you have the money... imnofreak will no doubt no more though.

exactly right your a fast learner ;) if your going to buy youngins buy a new trainer, but be careful - if you spend to much money and dont get good crowds you will fall into debt i did at the start, had to sell my best player *sniffle* haha

One more question. I've changed to Defence training now, though my newish trainer is attack minded, will this affect Defence training or not?
