How do first teamers get training during the off-season if you don't play them in friendlies?

They don't unless you play them in friendlies so therefore only players that played in the friendly that week only gets training. I'm going to sell some of my squad members, ie. the trainees, to compensate for that and rebuy when the new season starts.

a pretty handy player. gives you weak ratings for attack.

yes!!!! just bought another player with passable playmaking and highly likely to pop to solid with only 1 training. so thats 3 players poping to solid for me on friday! gonna make a fortune for this end of season!!!!

I only have a passable keeper... No back-up either. I really should fix that up next but keepers aren't cheap.
