wouldnt have made much difference the tanking backfired in the end and is probably karma. failure to reach quarter finals means a major hit to BA's bottom line in Federal funding they could've been playing a much weaker team than Turkey.
they thought they were better than they actually were by trying to manipulate the draw to avoid the USA
blessings must be counted

Brisbane confirmed for next season, name unknown but overwhelming majority want them to be called Bullets, it would be a huge failure if they werent.
Also NBL has started.

has anyone noticed that the new season of the NBL has started
It should be renamed the wbl, the "whocares basketball league" so little attention the league gets
The sport still needs to exist though, gamblers need another sport to gamble on to have a bit of variety  [-x

Can someone in the know explain to me why Melbourne Tigers changed their name to Melbourne United? Seems so counter-productive to change a name like that when there is plenty of history and success associated with the Tigers.

Also something about the name having a greater appeal for sponsors.

The tigers are hated in the juniors , they weren't run by the tigers organisation . They are a separate entity , I had an ex coworker who was a junior coach of the tigers junior girls team and he left them due to the arrogance of the youth set up higher ups . United is a shit name for a basketball club . I want my tigers back

Horrible news for Julius Randle with the broken leg and looks like he'll miss the rest of the season.
Also so good to see the Hornets back where they should be.
