Stage 1 is on tonight. It started at 8 o'clock but the coverage on SBS should start in about 20 minutes.

It's already down to 1.25, so it would take some sort of miracle for them to survive.

For some strange reason whenever I see Thomas Voeckler he reminds me of Besart Berisha.

A crash but it doesn't look like anyone is seriously injured.
Camera man's fault.

Peter Sagan with the win. A great effort by Cancellara, even though it's week one does he have any chance in this tour? I wonder if any of the big names lost any time.

Cadel is 8th, 10 seconds behind Wiggins, Michael rogers is 26, 25 seconds behind, some big names are over 30 seconds behind.

Hmmmm, now as I look at 'The Roar' quite often, they do a live blog of every stage each night. Now the author writes a very nice lead in story about the upcoming stage each night. I'll post tonight's one up and if you guys like it I'll try and post it every night. Quote:Stage 2 – Vise to Tournai Tonight’s stage between Vise and Tournai will be one for the sprinters. Please join us for live blogging of Stage 2 of the 2012 Tour de France. Live coverage will begin at 10pm AEST. With 207.5 kilometres over mainly flat Belgian terrain, Mark Cavendish and company will finally get a chance to stretch their legs and test their Tour form. With the 2.1km climb to the Citadel of Namur the only categorised climb, the likes of Cavendish, Goss, Renshaw, Kittel, Greipel and Farrar will be rubbing their hands together and dreaming of victory. The climb comes early in the race, just 82 kilometres in, and with an average gradient of just 4.5 percent, will not cause any worry for the sprinters. Of more interest to the fast men will be the intermediate sprint at Soignies. Coming with just 50 kilometres remaining to be raced, the sprinters and their teams will be required to put in a double effort within the last hour of racing. It is here we’ll see if Team Sky are serious about Cavendish’s green jersey aspirations. The finale should be thrilling with a 400-metre long finishing straight providing the sprinters with plenty of room to weave their magic. Watch for the lead-out trains of Team Sky and Orica-GreenEdge as they attempt to put their man in the best position. Matt Goss is hungry for his first Tour win and what better way to achieve it than by beating the best – his old team mate Mark Cavendish. Fasten your seatbelts cycling fans, the fast men are coming out to play! http://www.theroar.com.au/2012/07/02/2012-tour-de-france-stage-2-vise-and-tournai-live-blog/
