Just got back from the 5-0 smackdown that the FNQ Bulls gave the Miners. The Miners did nothing to help themselves with a lot of wayward passing but they were definitely also not helped by some quizzical refereeing which saw them reduced to 10 men.

They did not play at all like a team sitting 2nd on the table.

Anyway, wouldn't mind meeting up with like minded individuals to enjoy the future games if there are any forum regulars up this neck of the woods.

I go to the Razorbacks games, would be great to get Macktown to see a game.

Coach stepped down to give Mackay a better APL chance.

I have no idea what's going on with Mackay football and Graham Harvey but I think it's been an ongoing feud for some time. I'm not convinced that the joint bid will go through still as Harvey wasn't the only obstacle to get around - the Miners' name was another big sticking point. Guess we'll wait and see.

Its very hard to get news about the state leagues regarding the APL

Brisbane Roar playing pre season game against Sydney FC in Mackay on the 16th September.

Already have my tickets bought. Can't wait!

There was something in the local paper today about the Miners and Mackay Football Zone joint bid now getting the go ahead. Can't seem to find the same story on the website. The bid will be put forward with the Miners name - hopefully they can get it all together by the September 14 deadline.

Good news.

Just got back from the Miners 6-0 thrashing of Bundaberg Spirit who are 3rd from the bottom. Gold Coast and NQ Razorbacks must be pretty awful to be below them because Spirit were HOPELESS. Impotent going forward and just all over the place in defense. I felt sorry for their 'keeper who was just left with no help several times.

Any idea how the tickets are selling for the Roar pre season game in Mackay?
