I think that sounds reasonable, and I would take it as well. I for one do want to win the Europa League, because it's the only thing we have a chance of winning this season. And our trophy cabinet is getting a bit dusty atm.

yeah but it's the Europa League, and maybe it's me and i haven't woken up to the position that we find ourselves in still reminiscing of how we feared no one in Europe like going to the Nou Camp and winning... but it's just eh, 2nd rate competition, just reminds me of the 1-1 draw in Lyon every time we play in the Europa League

Europa League is still a pretty prestigious competetion, and I would really like to see us win it.

IMO "UEFA Cup" sounded more prestigious than "Europa League". What was with the change? Are they going to call the European Championships the UEFA Cup now or something?

It's still a big competition, the Bundesliga champions, Juventus, Liverpool, Valencia, Atletico Madrid, Ajax, Celtic, Sporting, Benfica, Roma, Werder Bremen...you've got some quality teams there.

I don't see any reason why Liverpool can't win it either. But it's certainly a presigious cup to lift.

Liverpools say in where the title goes is an interesting dynamic. If we've got a chance at grabbing 4th (or a europa spot) we're gonan need maximum points including a win in the chelsea game. Of course a win in the Chelsea game and the consequent european spot would have to come at a massive price.. man united hitting 18 titles before we do.

That's absoultely worst case scenario. Hopefulyl we can get through all the games up to the Chelsea game and Chelsea have more than three points breathing space on United. That's highly unliekly though.

I think they just changed it because the UEFA Cup was just the ECL's bitch pretty much and interest wasn't that great so they thought with a rvamp they good pique more interest and I must admit I have actually taken more notice of it this season
