Maybe they counterattacked you and since they dominated midfield had sfa chances to score...

Here are a few of my current YT batch. My 6 1/2 star defender just popped to solid defending so moving on to my playmaking and winger trainees :) Yes, suit training to this Wasim kid only. He's your best prospect from what I can tell. Try training MacPherson in other positions, where he will benefit the most from when your suiting Wasim before you promote him. Don't worry too much about the rest if they're not getting 5 + stars in their best position already. Edited by hmterraaus: 23/9/2009 05:42:47 PM

I have played basically every friendly overseas, it is heaps hard to play a local match.

Youth ratings are very very high. I've had a few brilliants before. Formid on right and left atk is promising for your wingers though.

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another injury. This time to my exc winger/formid PM. Out for 4 weeks. Might dip into the market for a replacement. Having said that, my youth winger is getting close to excellent.
On the flip side, I beat last year's 4th place to the tune of 7-0. Happy with that. Was expecting to lose, wouldn't surprise me if I did by that margin.
Running 4th with 2 wins and a loss. Should win next week too. Supernatural PM finally picked up his first MOTM performance. About time too.

It was only against a bot but: District 0 - 12 Shadowlands (245104470) 27-09-2009 04.00 Clouds darkened the skies at Barossa District Arena as 11168 spectators turned up for the match. All of South Australia was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for District. The following players took the field: Ryan - Muckert, Bamber, Haynes, Payne - Bichel, Topeni, Fenech, Searles - Velaphi, Randle. Shadowlands decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Lambarri - Testoni, Tutt, Hartlett - Goodman, Leibert, Elgueza, Naretto, Bullock - Raso, Limperiou. Shadowlands took the lead 16 minutes into the game, scoring the 0 - 1 goal after some elegant plays down the middle. James Leibert was the scorer. With 26 minutes played, Shadowlands put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Pepe Elgueza. The defenders were clearly outwitted by Shadowlands after 27 minutes. The disciplined free kick combination shifted the ball quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other. Pepe Elgueza appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 0 - 3. Jonas Raso increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 4. The referee showed Shadowlands's Jorge Naretto the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Jorge Naretto sailed high above the opponents as he headed the 0-5 goal in on a corner kick from Vincent Goodman after 40 minutes of play. By now, Shadowlands were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Shadowlands's Vincent Goodman somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for Jonas Raso, who struck for 0 - 6. With 43 minutes played, a phenomenal play on the left side freed James Leibert, of Shadowlands, to dash through and score another goal for the visitors. The score was then 0 - 7. Halftime score was 0 - 7. Shadowlands held the ball, with a clear 76 percent of possession. The home crowd was not impressed when Bluey Bullock came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 49 minutes. Shadowlands were now up 0 - 8. The away team's Jonas Raso took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 56 minutes which increased Shadowlands's lead to 0 - 9. By then Jonas Raso was a three time scorer - a hat trick! 69 minutes in, Shadowlands's Euan Testoni received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Unfortunately for District, Fredrick Velaphi was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. Jay Toopi replaced him. After 83 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Jason Tutt who increased Shadowlands's lead to 0 - 10. The visitors' Jonas Raso took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 85 minutes into the match. 0 - 11 for Shadowlands. Shadowlands's Jonas Raso received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 88 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 12 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. Shadowlands enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 81 percent of possession. Most important District player was Jay Toopi. On the other hand, Jeffrey Bamber's play was disheartening. Shadowlands's best player was Vincent Goodman. Jorge Naretto turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 12. By far and away my best scoreline!

Don't you hate when you go into the transfer market and ALWAYS the good buys are a couple of hours away, when you won't be able to bid on them because you're out or doing something important? :x Or when you get soooooooo close to the best buy the game of Hattrick has ever seen, then some _______ (insert word there) outbids you right at the last second, and you either have no more money or you have to go. Happened a few times yesterday.
This game is eating up so much of my time now that I am looking to replace injured PM and winger. Anyway, just for laughs, I bought a divine SP taker yesterday for 26k. About that, is there a way I can sub this guy on and make him take the set pieces when he does come on?

The only way I can think it might work is if you set him as your Number 2 set piece taker, and then bring him on for whoever is at number one.

Ah ok, cheers. Currently my SP taker is my brill PM, and I'd like him to play 90 mins, so I'll just assign SP to someone else. I'm hoping this guy will be a good super-sub and just hope he can pop free kicks when needed.
Well, I tried to put him as #2 SP taker while he's named as a substitute, but that didn't work either. :(

My new pick up (waited 4 weeks for a decent pull too): Scout Comment I think I have found a skilled youngster for you. His name is Nicolas Boone and he is 15 years old. Without any further training, this player will remain with poor Playmaking. Given the chance to improve his Winger skills, this guy might well reach solid in that department. His overall abilities are inadequate, in my opinion. What do you say? Should we give him a chance? He came through at 15years and 33 days - always tasty :)
