But when I only want to swap two or three players from the main default line-up, I used to be able to do taht in three clicks. There's more dicking about now.

Pretty much exactly the above, except 5-0 instead. New striker scored twice. Brought him off in the 60th, his replacement scored within seconds.

Won 4-3 in my cup match today after being 3-2 down.
Had $2 million to spend, so I went on a shopping spree last night and continued it just then. The best of my purchases were; a 20 year old outstanding PM for 900k, a 25 year old outstanding PM for 700k and an 18 year old excellent striker for 400k. All under the TC, so I was happy with that. Got the average age in my team down to 20 as well, pretty happy with that too.

I actually sold those 2 keepers for about 260k and 300k respectively. Luckily for you :p, I have 2 more 19 year old solid keepers that should be right to go by the weekend. Probably say 250k starting price?

Am after a couple of wingers actually avy, I'll give them a look.
How important is leadership? I've realised my squad really lacks a captain. Is it worth spending extra $$$ to ensure I get someone to fill it better, or is the benefit minimal?

Funky bid on Runesson, and Thain is still there. Fun fact, Thain is MM's former player.
Im not too sure about that leadership thing, i only have a passable leader captaining my squad, Imno will come with the answer soon enough

You should make sure you have a good captain, but leadership (and exp) for everyone else isnt as important. The captain having good leadership and exp will stop your team from getting confused in matches (you read it in the report as, the teams experience dropped to inadequate, or whatever), and sometimes they can get 'nervous' and panic and make errors (Things you would have read in the match report), like, Player X dwelled on the ball too long, probably due to lack of experience and let Player B through on goal. Things like that. At the end of the game, on the lineup page, you can see Total Team Experience at the bottom. Its not integral, but it certainly helps.

I'm spewing about the changes! The reason is that you need the lattest web browser to use the new match orders. Otherwise the screen looks as messed up as mad ladies breakfast. As I use work comptere I can't downlode upgrades or Fire fox. So I have to use another way that involves filling in a long line of boxes that represents the piosition every time I make match orders. Shite!

Sold a passable youth keeper for 60k. Pretty happy with that. Been trying to off-load him for a while.
Pumped 9 through in the cup. Got a bot next round. Cruisy.

Forgot to set orders for the cup, and because of the new system, I didn't have anyone set so they had a 5-0 win

Out of the cup, they put up a gallant effort, it went into extra time at 3-3 and in the end they lost 4-3. So anyone for a friendly?! 644829

Great Training day for me, my 17 y.o i bought last week popped to excellent pm, and my 3 forwards got monster 8 and 9+ star ratings in my youth match again - http://www88.hattrick.org/Club/Matches/MatchLineup.aspx?MatchID=33429694&TeamID=423830&YouthTeamID=32884&isYouth=trueRevealing that Nick Vidiri is now passable pm inad passing and solid scoring, so i have 37 days to get him to improve his passing and pm, and that one of my other forwards improved their scoring and can get solid in passing :) Shame Vidiri is going to be 17 and 26 instead of 17 and 3 days when i promote him, decreases his u20 chances a fair bit. Ahh Dammnnnn. Before I read that last part I was very excited.
He still has a chance though, especially with the new engine updates, U20 teams will be looking at multi skilled players. If he has solid scoring with passable PM and passing, hes a great shout. Does he have a Spec?
