No vidiri my best forward doesn't have a specialty, the other two do though, powerful for swan and technical for Obrien.
Have been contemplating switching to passing as my main training and PM as secondary for the remainder of Vidiri's time in my youth team and play the guys in midfield, Obrien would benefit from the passing but can only reach weak max at pm but Swan will only get weak passing at best and he has inad pm with a max of passable.
Not sure how to train them, but will probably change the training for Vidiri and then go back to Scoring and passing for Obrien as he seems the better prospect of he and swan.

Btw i don't think i've ever had a player reach titanic so fast as brush has for you imno, great player with his specialty and passing as well, have you talked to the national team scouts about his involvment in the senior NT, h'ed have to be one of their better up and coming players you would think.

Yeah I'd do it around Viddy at the moment. If he gets to solid/pass/pass, even without spec, he still has a decent chance, dependant on his age, if it suits the next WC (Im not sure if it does)

Haha cheers man. I haven't discussed it with them yet, no. But the talk when he was in U20 was that he would probably make the NT one day too. Probably after I sell him though. End of next season I'll probably have to sell as wages will be too high. But they generally don't call up to full NT until 25 or something so I'm not expecting a call up anytime soon. I've worked out that he will hit Mythical when he is still 22, and then I will sell him I think. Edited by imnofreak: 23/4/2010 06:45:27 PM

Yeah, the wages can get to be a bit of a drain on your team, can't wait till carl gets a game finally so a bit of his wage is shared instead of all on my economy, hopefully whoever picks him up kepps training him after you sell him, who knows i might have a look if i am in the position to fork out the coin haha.

Hahaha yeah. But then I think to myself, I'm going to want to bring a midfielder of similar capability, and with Eddie I dont pay the extra 20%. I dunno, I'll have to check the market when the time comes.

I think that is the reason my team is not as good as it should be considering how long i have been playing, i sold players when they hit around the twenty four twenty five age and bought younger players worth the same with lesser skills to keep from getting a squad of 30 y.os, might just stick with my current crop of midfielders for a while and try and develop my own replacements once i get a hold of a really good trainee or two and train them for four seasons or so.
In any case, at least you can say you trained a youth player up to play in the u20 WC :p

How important is leadership? I've realised my squad really lacks a captain. Is it worth spending extra $$$ to ensure I get someone to fill it better, or is the benefit minimal?
You should make sure you have a good captain, but leadership (and exp) for everyone else isnt as important. The captain having good leadership and exp will stop your team from getting confused in matches (you read it in the report as, the teams experience dropped to inadequate, or whatever), and sometimes they can get 'nervous' and panic and make errors (Things you would have read in the match report), like, Player X dwelled on the ball too long, probably due to lack of experience and let Player B through on goal. Things like that. At the end of the game, on the lineup page, you can see Total Team Experience at the bottom. Its not integral, but it certainly helps. Cheers for the info. I'll try get my next player to have good leadership & experience then. Going for promotion this year so any advantage would help.

Not a single pop this week. Disheartening. Lost my first youth match in four seasons this week too. Damn.

My opponent for tomorrow still hasn't set orders. :D. Lets hope it stays that way, I could really do with the PIC and 5-0.

Solid 6-0 win, with a PIC. Central Def got outstanding, good to see my two big signings have bolstered my backline. I'll need a new striker come the end of the season.

Got away to a 4-1 lead but was pegged back to 4-3...happy to keep the win for the 4-3. Was expecting a win anyway.

Eased in to the new season with a 9-0 thrashing. God love bots. New striker scored 4, including 2 FK's and a Penalty. That buy may become the best thing I do this season. Only downside was my winger being sent off early in the 2nd Half. Doesn't matter too much. Next 3 weeks are against the Top 3 sides in the league anyway.

Won 2-0 against the only human manager in my league who has any idea of what's going on. Had heaps of shots, but his keeper is quite remarkable. Might have been a cricket score without him. Only downside is that my left-back got a second yellow for arguing with the ref. Idiot.

Verrry nice. Love those kinds of sales! Youths won 4-1. It was 1-1 going into the final few minutes, and then: Quote:84:19 A mistake by the kids playing central defence allowed Wade Crouch to score the 1 - 2 goal for Lads after 84 minutes.
86:05 After 86 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Wade Crouch who increased Lads's lead to 1 - 3.
87:20 In the 87th minute, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 4 as Wade Crouch redirected a misplaced long shot from the left into the goal. What a hero!!

Lost 3-2 in the 84th to the side that thumped me 6-0 last season. That's so incredibly disheartening.

One of my youth players, 16 and 15 days:
Israel Mcflynn
PM: Passable (max unknown) Passing: Weak (max solid)
I'm thinking about putting primary training to passing, because he's already close to solid at PM. If he comes out at solid/solid at 17/0..... No spec I dont think though.
I'll keep primary at PM till I find out his max. If its Solid, I'll switch to passing
