Nice potential on that one, your YA really pumps out the Midfielders hey.
Just bought two more trainees for 1.1 and 1.4 mil respectively, both will pop on friday if they play in the cup, thinking i might get into daytrading for the next month or so, got nothing to do except work whilst i wait for my uni course to start anyways.

Finally picked up a keeper for the youths. First time I've drafted a player in three months.

Yeah of course. i find it hard to rely on psicotsi though... is that the tool you're using?

Yeah it is, I find it's normally pretty spot on for me, as long as i update it regularly, in any case these players both have .99 +, so they are almost 100% guaranteed to pop. (I'm going to regret saying that)

Got me thinking, could we possibly get funky or another mod to edit one of the posts at the start of this thread to show all the links of HT tools, plugins, sites, databases basically anything that helps people with Hattrick?
Would be easier than having to go through forums and posts to remember them all.

PsicoTSI is accurate depending on the position you're training. For defenders it's pretty well useless, it's +/- 10% usually. For Strikers it's +/- 5%...midfielders it's fairly accurate though.

Selling a 26 year old outstanding PM for 700k and a 19 year old solid defender for 125k, if anyone is interested. Will also list a 19 year old solid keeper at the end of the week. Most probably Friday night.

Off the top of my head: Natstats - lists all u20 and NT players that are up for sale globally in HT. HT-Box - Injuries/Healing Predictor Foxtrick - Nice little firefox plugin especially if you don't have supporter. Edited by torana_a9x: 28/4/2010 04:04:36 AM

There was another one that went through all your players and their effectiveness, positions etc. Can't remember what it was though.

Played quite a weak team against the bot today. Was 3-0 down after 25 minutes, then won 4-3 with a 99th minute golden goal.
Round 3 is against a team from div 4. No chance.

Forgot to set orders.
Lined up like this:
IM ST IM IM ST IM DEF IM GK DEF GK
Luckily I was playing a bot. Went 1-0 down, pulled it back in the 70th thanks to a pen, went 2-1 down in the 81st, pulled it back a minute later.
Into ET, scored in the 101st minute (the brill defender playing in the middle, no less)
Great success!
Got an east team next week tomorrow too. As long as I set orders, R4 here I come.
Listed my trainee for 6mil. Have atcha.

Lucky result lol, they changed the way you set your default lineup btw, they went back to a checkbox at the bottom of your match orders.
Won 9-0 today, I got a easy team next week aswell, only pulls 118 hatstats max, will play trainees and see how it goes though, cbf advancing in the cup if it means sacrificing training.

Check out the first post lads, added in all the links that were suggested. Won my cup match 4-2. Not bad considering it was 2-2 in the 88th:p

Sweet :)
Just a question (to anyone) been looking through transfer lists for a decent winger and i noticed that you don't really get many 6+ star players until you get into the 100k tsi range, even in national teams some players are only 7 or 8 stars compared to strikers, keepers and mids who get 9+, anyways the question is, are there any particular secondaries for a winger other than PM and passing that are important for their ratings?

Def also helps if playing TD and scoring if playing offensive.... I'm not sure what else. The importance of wingers has been upped with the current update though, I'm sure the HT Gods noticed the same thing

Ah ok, might upgrade my striker first then, will wait and see how the ME changes go over the next half a season or so.

Yeah... just look for multiskilled. They've really increased the importance of players having good seconds. Trying to phase out monoskilled players. It gets more important the higher up you get in the divisions

Definitely, None of my players except for my GK and one defender have less than inad as a secondary, my current wingers are WC PM and excellent Wing, so will probably look for something similar though with more Winger and mayb a bit of scoring.
My new striker will need to have good SP, at least passable passing and a specialty, so he will probably cost me a fair bit.

Yeah you should look for perhaps something closer to the reverse of what you have in truth. At least outstanding Wing, maybe lower the PM to magnif? WC PM and excell wing is more suited to a IMTW (i assume you play those guys as WTM?)
The only way you'll get away with it the way you currently are is to have strikers with pretty good wing skills too. You dont want to put all your eggs in one basket (central attack)

No I play them as normal wingers (I have had them for ages btw, one of them i bought in my first or second season), they get maybe half a star more playing in midfield than they do playing on Wing, so i figured it's cheaper and i can train them so win win, my current striker is Brilliant with Solid winger but he gets better ratings played normal (6-6.5) rather than TW (5 at best).
Definitely need to get a Winger with better Wing though, possibly with a quick or head specialty too, in dire need of specialty players atm.

Yeah.. Specs can really turn the game.
Get at least one gun winger so you can attack one side if your opponent has strong Central def.

Didn't realise that my wingers were not contributing as much as they should have to my left and right attacks, just thought that the stars they were recieving meant it was all good, thanks for that info imno, definitely have some work to do with my squad now, lol just when i was thinking my team would be almost be complete with two more signings.
Yeah the specs aren't really hurting me now, but i am preparing for series IV which i should definitely be in next season and make an impact in my first season, so i want to have as many things on my side as possible, including a great SP taker and improved Def and attack (and wings now haha).

Second consecutive 9-0 win in the cup.
Unfortunately I've been drawn at home for the next cup round.

Haha yeah. The stars show their overall contribution. I'd say 3-4 of them would be given to midfield. Don't worry too much - You're always going to be chopping and changing. Just check your match ratings and hatstats - what area of the field are you weakest in. For example, my weakest 2 seasons ago was by far defence. Since then I've made 4 new signings at the back and now pull outstanding ratings at the back. Now need to bolster my strike force hahaha. Specs are definitely helpful. All you have to do is just pick 2 teams you think you can beat, PIC every other game and MOTS those two (and hope you dont have them back to back in R7 and R8 haha). Improve your weakest part first, and turn it into the BEST part. So, by the time you get back around to fixing it, the other areas are all as good/better. You dont want to do a small improvement that means you need to upgrade again in 1 season or less. Plan long term. afromanGT wrote:Second consecutive 9-0 win in the cup.
Unfortunately I've been drawn at home for the next cup round. Check how he has been lining up in his first 2 games. If he is playing 2nds in the cup, he may take you lightly. Spring a suprise on him. My mate did that, he just started playing like 2 weeks ago, went 2-0 up (but lost in ET). It's possible.

Unfortunately, my opponent played some pretty epic players in his first 2 rounds against bot teams, so my cup run will be over on Wednesday.
