Big Wally wrote:GATE4 wrote:Mate 2, 000 olympic fans is not hard so I dont see why they wouldnt be expecting more
Also 90% of nswpl clubs dont have fans
Edited by Gate4: 2/4/2013 04:37:21 PM They don't get anywhere near that. We all know that. How can a club that has 2k in attendance, so on average, 25k on the gate, each week, 275k over the season, still manage to not have enough money to pay its players at the back end of the last few seasons. As an insider, I know this is the case, until youth rego money comes in... Like I said, in the 2k attendance, you are probably counting all of the kids and their parents who are playing in the lower grades throughout the day, 90% would have gone home before kick off in 1st grade. There's probably 1,000 in attendance. Judging by what I've seen at the games I've been at. Of which, about 500 are paying to get in. Now your 90% figure on other clubs is a bit of a fallacy. Bonnyrigg, united and Rockdale all get decent crowds. Demons and wolves aren't too bad either. LOL How many multi accounts do you need to create to spout the same dribble you always do. And a MASSIVE LOL of you being an insider of Olympic, keep talking shit champ thats what you do best after all. On Olympic v United its a shame its out in Blacktown but thats the way it is...

This is my 1 and only account mate. And unless you're one of the few people directly involved with player payments, ie, the president, the treasurer, the football manager or the player or coach themselves, you would have no idea about who is getting paid how much or when. If u can honestly tell me that for the last 2 years, each player has been paid the full amount, on time, then u have no idea, because it simply is not true.
But this has gotten off topic. I just get annoyed looking at blatant lies on here, like that there was a few thousand supporters and not 1 blacktown fan. Seriously, what sort of idiotic statement is that.

Is it alright if I post about Div 2? Watched Spirit against Berries tonight, fuck me what a physical match! Was almost a punch on near half-time, Spirit leading 1-0 until about an hour when the Spirit left back does a ridiculously dumb tackle in the box earning a penalty and send-off, and handing Berries a man advantage and an equaliser. Straight after Berries go on a surge and score again, then proceed to miss 2 easy chances plus one of the most amazing saves I've ever seen from Spirit keeper kept them in it.
You always felt Spirit could knick another goal with a very pacy forward line, and come the 2nd minute of stoppage time at Christie Park and cometh the controversy - Berries players SCREAMING at the linesman that the ball had crossed the goal line for a goalkick, Spirit player plays it across, tap-in at the far post. Fascinating game of football, very very intense and physical though.

Four certainties in life: 1. Death 2. Taxes 3. Olympic fans talking sh*t 4. Batfink claiming his son's team is much better than table suggests due to poor finishing and/or refereeing decisions going against them :p In all seriousness, cant complain with 4 from 4 even though we havent been at our best. If this side clicks we might see some big scorelines against some of the weaker sides. U20s are top of the table as well. Would have been on 12 points if it we didnt let a 3-1 lead slip in round 1 against Manly

But if what they're saving about Vass' challenge is true then I'd say that he's the grub

i'll tell you poor form, the standard of refereeing we witnessed against the spartans last sat, especially in the youth. the bias out there is pathetic. in the 15's, the referee let the spartans get away with a lot. suffice to say the players assumed they could do as they please. one of our boys was then hacked studs up, it was a terrible tackle, the ref didnt even stop the game, not even a free kick, it took the other side eventually kicking the ball out of play for the game to stop. no action against the player thereafter. our boy's leg was broken in several places, hes gone for the season, and who knows how long his recovery will be. one of the worst broken legs ive seen. pathetic. anyway, bring on manly this weekend at home. hopefully branko can get our first team firing cause we need to consolidate on the come from behind effort against the spartans!
