Big Wally,
That's quite an impressive big blank space you have in your post. Is that what's between your ears? hehe just toyin with ya :)
Indeed there was some big results last weekend. Lots of goals scored. Good to see City back on track :)
Critto would have read them the riot act after the sutherland match. Seems to have worked a treat.
This weekends matches might just shake up the table a tad I reckon and put the cat amongst the pidgeons. Some big games on.
Bonnyrigg V Sydney United City V Marconi Sutherland V Fartans
I'm guessing the other matches - Rockdale, Manly and Sydney Olympic should take all 3 points. But you never know eh...
I think the pre-ticket sales was a good idea for Bonnyrigg V Sydney United match. If they wanted to keep the crowd accountable then when purchasing tickets a name and address should be a mandatory requirement. That way if there is trouble they can weed out the troublemakers and leave them with only the serious football fans instead of punishing all the innocent spectators.
Best of luck to all.

Bloody internets. I tried to post the youtube clip of the highlights. FAIL!
Agree re the pre-sale being the right way to go about things in terms of scaring off potential trouble makers, but just not sure if it'll do much, if an issue arises. Unless they were taking photos of fans as they bought tickets, the cops will still have to identify crooks off video footage.
The issue is that something perfectly legal in the real world will set them off, if it does go off. Like singing a nationalist song or pulling out a hidden flag and waving it around.
But fingers crossed all goes well and we don't see anything on the news.

The table seems to be sorting itself out with the better squads around the top and the not so good starting to drift away.
Who knows what will happen if the Mariners come last in the club championship? Are they safe as its their first year?

Does the club that comes last on Club Championship get relegated this year, or is there 1 year grace?
Also can someone confirm Phil Moss is now the coach of Mariners Academy

There will be no promotion/relegation between NSWPL1 and NSWPL2 this season. Only between SL1 and SL2.
So basically this season is moot.

Don't quote me but the top 2 or 3 sides from the table in each state conference PL1 go into a NPL knockout comp at the end of the season to determine the NPL winner. I believe the winner in future may determine along with criteria promotion option to A-League. Something along those lines anyway. This season is a dry run as i'm to understand.

All academic now as you won't have to experience that again. One game left on it vs Olympic and then the construction starts.

So basically this season is moot. Source? FNSW website. I read it there. Also if you check the prior seasons (2012) criteria for NSWPL1 this seasons club entries you should find mention that there is no relegation for NSWPL1 and 2 in 2013 season. Results + Criteria from 2014's season will determine the makeup of the NSWPL1 (NSW NPL conference) for 2015 clubs. Edited by aussiesrus: 14/5/2013 07:20:21 PM

Love to hear peoples comments Batfink lol Here's my comment. Best of luck to him. There are quite a few players in NSWPL1 that could step up to A-League and quite a few U/20's are already playing NYL from NSWPL1 sides. Good luck to them all I say. Wish them all the best and hope football can give them their dreams and hopes. Unfortunately only around 64 players can get into A-league sides in NSW as we have only 4 clubs. I'm sure there could be quite a few more teams made up on the fly with a cast of rejects like wanderers and be successful. How piss poor are the established A-League clubs like Sydney FC and Newcastle that have players like ADP and Heskey and can't even make the final series?. Says a shitload about how badly they are run and how badly flawed the system is here in Australia for piss poor players to walk along the A-League golden pathway. The system is complete shit and compromised and producing players of the same quality. I have not and never will pay one cent to watch an A-League match while the system is rubbish. The problem is so much talent and so limited opportunities. We will never know who can and who can't step up to the required level unless they are given the opportunity to prove themselves and time to grow into those roles. Politics is the biggest killer of this sports success for players and always will be while it is run like a circus. But as they say the A-League circus must roll on and everyone's a clown. Moving right along...Round 10 Matches.
Fartans V Blacktown City. City too classy and should take the points. South Coast V Apia. Probably close to a draw. Olympic V BWE. BWE too classy and should take the points. Manly V Sutherland. Sutherland too classy and should take the points. Rockdale V Mariners. Rockdale too classy and should take the points. Marconi V Sydney United. Probably a draw or each way slightly. A bees dick in it.

Also can someone confirm Phil Moss is now the coach of Mariners Academy Its Mark Jones ex Newcastle assistant. Hde also takes the junior sides once a month on Monday night (they rotate) and I can tell you all the kids are buzzing after his sessions. He now has all the teams playing to the Mariners system as well and I've noticed a lot of the less successful (the ones getting flogged) junior sides aren't conceding as many goals as they did earlier in the season.

Love to hear peoples comments Batfink lol same could be said for a whole heap of players. i mean if the likes of trifiro, gibbs and co are able to secure a-league cotnracts, theres plenty of tohers who could do likewise. as a rockdale supporter, i would say that someone like richie cardozo or brendan gan could fit into the same category.

Advocate1, FNSW Competitions Review Board Decision – 20 July 2012 "Amnesty on Relegation from Elite until end of 2014" Promotion and Relegation from 2013 to 2014 Senior Elite 1 & 2 There will be promotion and relegation between Senior Elite 1 & 2 from the end of the 2013 season dependant on criteria. Positions will be determined by a weighted Senior Club Championship (U16 points x 0, U18 points x 1, U20 points x 2, 1st Grade points x 4). InformationThe way I read this it clearly states from the "end" of 2013 and not applicable during 2013. Will be interesting to see precisely what "does happen" as opposed to what is "suppose to happen". I'll bet your left one the same clubs will be in NSWPL1 next season. Criteria will be the decision.
