MACEDONIA wrote:You guys dominated wtf
blacktown were all over you first 25 min and whilst you guys missed a couple of chances in the first half and 2nd half so did blacktown
lets not forget blacktown have lost 4 players to a league contracts
There jap Centre forward was missing fragogianis was missing araugo was missing
you only dominated the last 20 min when both teams made 5 changes in the last 20 min
nikas will be the difference from you finishing top 3 to missing out from the semis
Problem you defenders are slow don't push up to get into attacking oositions
Fairer result to me was a draw did you miss my post malaka, I said blacktown were the better side in the first half you spastic. blacktown missed half chances in the second half, while we missed two sitters from 6 yards in the second half. we got one of the most attacking (defenders) in the competition. Sherlock at RB naturally goes forward with every play, Bilic is a natural LW playing LB... we constantly do overlapping runs etc.... Let's not forget stamatellis was missing at the back as well. Good to see THE LEGEND Andrea at the game, with his true 'colours'... so is he a sell out too?

Yes we were rusty as fuck with our passing, even still we managed to get a result against a blacktown side that will cause everyone problems.

Anyway first game in
Andrea isnt a legend to me as he probably only goes to 70 per cent of olympic away games and there are others that go to more matches than him
dont think he ever pays to get into any games lol that makes him a legend

BWE 2-2 APIA
Dominated possession against APIA, done good but still very rusty and raw, I believe it was Miller who scored the 2nd goal a ripper from afar and Younis with the first (i think), the Italians scored with literally the last kick of the game......... Must say APIA look much stronger than last season, has anybody ever noticed that the APIA gaffer dosent really do anything ? In my opinion almost looks as if his told who to play, what to do etc by Raciti and Co
Has anybody seen Marconi's squad on paper ? Alot of names which i have never seen before

APIA definitly the dark horse for me this season. Decent squad, their best in years. Should make the top 5. Might set up a bet365 account and bet on them in the early rounds while their price should be decent

APIA look good every year then never live upto the hype, I expect the same this year. Sutherland will struggle this year big time, after spending money on re doing the artificial turf I guess they cut funding from the squad, expect a squad of mainly younger players that have come up from the 20's and were fringe players last season, will be interesting to see how they cope with losing 2 centre mids in Stava and Nikas who have been there for the last few seasons.

So each year APIA send a youth team over to Italy for a pre-season tour. Can't remember the name, starts with a V. Anyway, I saw last night via facebook they drew 1-1 with an AC Milan youth team. I know it was a pretty meaningless friendly, but I think that's still an impressive feat for a small State League club against a (one would assume) fully professional yoUth setup. Well done to them.

vincenzogold wrote:how do they work out who gets promoted and who gets relegated through the divisions? First and foremost it's position on the ladder, but it can depend on the financial stability of both the promoted and relegated clubs. That's how APIA avoided getting relegated a few seasons back. They were more financially secure than another club (Bankstown???).

mltezr wrote:Spartans 2-1 parramatta Score line was nice to parramatta. Spartans actually looked quite good. Moved the ball quickly, looked they have been playing together for a while. Definitly should be in the top 5. Parramatta needs to improve and they obviously will. A lot of long balls by them. Had some good feeling for a pre season and both teams went in hard at the tackles. The ref was a good sort also, some blonde lady spartans won't make the semis Olympic 4 def sutho 2 Should of been 10. 2 Hit the post twice Dead set missed several sitters bring on Parra next week 2 from 2

Disappointing result, we were better for the first 60 or so but BWE finished off strongly. We should have been up by two at half time but a combination of poor finishing/not pulling the trigger worked against us. We got a soft penalty late in the half to take the lead Pasfield pulled off a couple of outstanding saves. He looks like he'll be worth a few points for us this season. Very refreshing after the Barcena nightmare early last season
