Granted they've had 2 extremely difficult matches to open the season, but Gladesville looking favourites for the spoon already I daresay.

Hesketh had his arms flapping about and the ball struck him, the ball went in a few seconds after and that goal should have stood, should be grateful the ref pulled it back for a penalty ;) & Robinson was brought down by Canak. What were your thoughts on Zonjics 2nd yellow card ?

Howcome Andrew Bazi isnt starting in goals for you fellas, Bradasevic isn't anything special.

Heiny, correction, GRM/Gladesville are PL3, I think your meaning Spirit for the spoon PL2, I expect Mariners/Bridge maybe with them as well fighting it out.

i get that but it didnt strike his arm, he said so after the game. no chance in hell of younes' second one being a pen. he dived. the jonjic's second yellow was very soft. some poor decision from an a-league ref. disappointing. the 35 fouls against us killed us. couldnt get momentum. your boys did well with ten men.
re the keeper, david is the incumbent, he hasnt done anythign wrong pre season. but i agree, bazzi is a good keeper. wait and see, his time will come.
we get mclenehan back this week. pity the thai fa stopped him from playing last weekend. theyre terrible.

anyone know much about hakoah in terms of the way they play? is it bash all direct long balls to jablonski?

BWE 1-2 Spartans

Not a good result, didnt deserve a win boys played werent themselves.

Highlight was the mini brawl after full time, our president almost got into a punch on with the gypsy Blacktown Spartans goalkeeper Salidare because they were knocking our changing room and apparently broke the new shower heads, true gypsies.

Sydney United 2-1 Wollongong

I thought we got lucky yesterday, we could have been down 2-0 at HT. Wolves missed two one on ones, they are very quick on the counter attack.

Second half I thought we played a lot better, and just needed to be patient, Peter Triantis scored a nice goal from just outside the 18 yard box.

Sutherland at home for us this coming easter Monday.

We were the better side over 90, they managed to catch us out on the counter a couple of times but that was about it. Nikas had a one-on-one in the first half that he should've buried and we had a couple of other half chances. At 2-0 we could easily have gone up by 3 or 4.

The luckiest moment from our perspective was Kofinas only getting a yellow not long after we took the lead. Some refs may have given a red in that situation - hard to see how far away the other defenders were from where we were sitting

yeah there were.

you are making out as if this is news? we had this number of greeks last season too, or there abouts....

as for the fans, we are probably the most critical on our players whether they are Croatian, greek, Macedonian etc if you don't play well for weeks on end, you will know about it, but if you put it in 100% for the shirt then that's all we can ask for.

For Eg. - Last season, Pani Nikas was prancing around on the pitch, never tracked back, and was somewhat being lazy he copped it from the fans, its something he probably wasn't expecting... no disrespect to Sutherland or its fans however Pani played there with no pressure, all of a sudden he comes to United and he found out quickly we weren't going to have that crap... in somewhat he has changed his attitude and I think he will be massive for us this season, he already has 2 goals in 2 games.

so to answer your question, greek or not, if you play for the shirt and give it 100% the fans will stick by you no matter what the nationality.... except serbs, but that will never happen

NSW NPL 2 round 3 Results:

Central Coast Mariners 2 - 0 Macarthur Rams
Mounties Wanderers 2 - 1 Sprit FC
Bankstown Berries 1 - 0 Fraser Park
Western Sydney Wanderers 2 - 0 Northern Tigers
Sydney Fc 5 - 1 Mt Druitt Town Rangers
Bankstown City 4 - 3 Marconi Stallions
North Shore Mariners 1 - 1 St George

Ladder:

1 Western Sydney Wanderers FC - 9
2 Bankstown City FC - 9
3 Mounties Wanderers FC - 9
4 Sydney FC - 6 (▲2)
5 Northern Tigers FC - 6 (▼1)
6 Central Coast Mariners FC - 6 (▲3)
7 St George FC - 4
8 Macarthur Rams FC - 4 (▼3)
9 Bankstown Berries FC - 4 (▼1)
10 Marconi Stallions FC - 3 (▼2)
11 North Shore Mariners FC - 1 (▲1)
12 Fraser Park FC - 0 (▲1)
13 Mt Druitt Town Rangers FC - 0 (▼2)
14 Spirit FC - 0

Surprise packets for me are just how bad Marconi have started. Don't think they'll necessarily be relegated with Spirit and Fraser Park in there but doubt they'll challenge at all this year

Their coach has resigned already. Definitely a poor start, they wouldve hoped for much better. WSW are looking good if pre-season and early season form are anything to go by.

Marconi will be helped by their 20s but if first grade doesnt start firing soon then it wont mean much.

Well, WSW have really set the bar, beating Tigers by 2 is a strong win.
