Kasey Wehrman has been announced as coach of new APL club Western Pride. Apparently he holds a UEFA B license and will soon have his A license.

Not a bad appointment IMO. Kasey will help the profile of the new comp in Qld and especially in the Ipswich region where Western Pride are located.

Nice too to see some recently retired A-League players making the transition to coaching. Josh McCloughan coached QAS in this seasons Qld State League. No doubt he'll be at the helm again for the QAS in their first APL season too. And having seen his side last season I was very impressed with how he went about things.

Wouldn't be surprised too to hear former NQ Fury player Gareth Edds announced as Northern Fury's coach for next season. Let's see.

Anyway, so guess who was announced as Northern Fury's APL coach today? ;)

Excellent decision as it provides a link from the former A-League club to the new APL club.

Best thing to happen to football in townsville in 8 years.
All he needs now is quality caches in younger ages (david skinner for U18s or assistant Apl coach) and no interference from non football people.
I hope this is the start of the right people with the right philosophy getting the right coaching jobs.
well done fury board number 1 decision =d> =d> =d> =d> =d> =d>

I was too.

He was Jets best player before GVE took over. I think Wehrman still has a lot to offer at HAL level, probably as a CB.
