I actually haven't seen many football movies, I enjoyed the Goal movies except for Goal 3 and I've seen Bend it Like Beckham. I've been meaning to watch Green Street Hooligans for the longest time but keep forgetting about it.

Game of their lives wasn't too bad, remember stumbling upon that on TV one time. The Goals are all pure drivel though, can't stand them.

I definitely didn't ever imagine that being possible when I first saw Green Street...especially considering Sons wasn't even in existence at the time. He is a quality actor though, his role in Children of Men albeit brief was pretty impressive too, and he has done very well in Sons. martyB wrote:Maybe in 10-20 years the MLS will have reached a point where the sport has the cultural significance and relevance for Hollywood to produce high-budget films. With the history and cultural significance of football in places such as Europe and Latin America during important and fascinating historical moments the stories are definitely out there, I mean there are some incredible stories out there. No sport has such a cultural and political importance as football, if a Hollywood studio was willing to take a risk with the financing, it wouldn't be hard to produce a quality screen play that could strike it big imo.

Hunnam is absolutely superb in that role. He's a brilliant actor.
