I have, and saw a whole lot less bigotry or racism in NY than I have done here. Had this chat the other day with a guy who spends half his time in NY and half his time here and he can't believe how badly misrepresented Ny is here in Australia.

It's very multicultural and there aren't the divisions or tensions in NY anywhere near to the extent we have them here. Sure the odd incident happens but nothing like here, let alone Europe.

Stereotyping is a dangerous thing mate.

A friend just got back from NY and said that it was extremely racist. There might be multicultural aspects there but there's also serious issues with racial hate crimes.

And as for there 'not being the divisions' that there are here...have you BEEN to The Bronx?
