Pakawho?

Why not just drop your wage demands and come back to the A-League where you will be treated as a star and enjoy the Australian lifestyle. Geez if you have not made enough out the game by 34 years of age playing most of that time in the EPL, and a couple of thousand dollars here or there, which you could probably make up with additional third party sponsorship is the deal breaker, then you really should have got a better financial advisor.

If he does go to Pakawho then his role as captain and/or in the Australian team should be reviewed as we need an Australian captain who is visible i.e. playing in the highest league possible or in Australia (especially for the mainstream media) not someone hidden away in country most people could not locate on a map.

What a joke.

If you cannot locate Uzbekistan on a map, you needed to have paid more attention in geography at school. ;)

Pakhtakor are based in the capital, Tashkent (population around 4.5 million). They are the reigning Uzbek champions so that'll mean ACL for them this season.

Hiding somewhere in Asia would be the best thing for Lucas' Socceroo career, if he came back to the A League Holger would se him play every week and realise how truly shyte he is. Same with Carney.

As soon as you think it can't get much lower for neil, he goes to the uzbek league. I like Lucash but we need a new captain, we as a football nation deserve a better captain than a player who is playing in the uzbek league!!

id give it to schwarzer until the end of the wc then look at the other options for a long term captain. Holman and jedinak would give good claims for it, especially if jedi lands a gig in the EPL.

It was a fairly big club in the old Soviet league.

Still a strange move for Neill but it's a big club with a good set up.

And yet Tim Cahill is still hated more by Australian football fans.

Timmy verbalsed his contempt/disdain for the A-League, whilst Lucas hasn't commented, he's just showing us by his actions.

Also as part of Neil's bid for a West Sydney team he offered to come and play for nothing for that team.
