Visited my old suburb of Dulwich Hill yesterday haven’t been there for years but– where has the old Sydney Olympic sports club gone in Hurstone Park next to Ewen Park!!! The club house has totally gone replaced by a nice surface of grass..
Tennis courts are still there but badly in need of repair….

Now sad….

Yep , Thanks they play at Belmore Oval, but they had a club in Hurstone Park next to Cooks River the old Hurstone Park Bowling Club... its now disappeared completely - just a patch of grass.

I have it on very good authority that Olympic players haven't been treated well by the club - not Tsekenis the coach but the Board.

That's why so many upped and left for United.

while on the other hand, olympic signed 3 of United players this season.

@Roberts, the social club was losing money and eventually they sold it and it was made into a function centre by the new owners for a few years, dont know what its like there now havent been passed there for a while, but you say its all grass now, quite sad...

@thupercoach, obviously your authority is an idiot since we've had the core of our squad for 3 years now, Henderson, Giannaros, Studman, Haydar, Makrys, Angel, Danaskos and a few others.

Nobody upped and left, Chris Triantis is the only one who went to United, his brother Peter looks to be signing a pro contract with Sydney FC, there's movement at all PL clubs at the end of every season, Olympic are 1 of the more stable clubs...

They were good tennis courts. Used to play there on a regular basis with my dad when he used to live in Hurlstone Park.

I'll stand corrected. My source is still pretty good though. ;)
