So it's a bit of a conflict of interest when one moment the Advertisement boards are displaying the 'Be in the Influence' signage, and then a handful of advertisements later, and advertisement for 'Victoria Bitter' pops up.

Have work at 8.30pm. It's not exactly feasible for me to attend games on nights given I work on weekend nights. Sunday's are basically the only games I can get too.

It's a complete waste of money.

This is going to sound silly but if they want this "binge-drinking epidemic" to at least drop to older levels, they need to make beer popular again. People are drinking too much vodka these days.

If I had a dollar for every time I made a Vodka w/ lime & soda at work, I'd easily quadruple my hourly rate.

People only order Vodka, lime and soda because they're under the gross misapprehension that it has notably less carbs and therefore isn't as bad for you as dark spirits/beer.

That or they think Vodka doesn't give you a hangover, which is also false.

dont people drink bourbon anymore? Man up!

After having a couple of bad expiriences with bourbon, I can't stomach it any more really. If I serve a lot of it at work (which inevitably I do) after a while the smell of it starts to make me feel nauseous. Mind you, that's Jim Beam I'm talking about.

I actually don't mind Makers Mark. That's not too bad.

I don't know how barmen serve Bundy, it smells as putrid and it tastes.

Bundy is fucking horrible. Unfortunatly, all our house spirts are. It's your generic brand speed rack:

- Smirnoff Red Label
- Gordon's London Gin
- Johnnie Walker Red Label
- Bundy original
- Jim Beam original.

Our top stuff shelf is pretty good, though.

Bourbon <3

Smirnoff is Australia's generic vodka. It's crap but it does the job.
Gordon's is a pretty basic Gin but if your bar is with Deargeo you'll end up with Jinn in your speed rail.
Jonnie Walker red tastes like soap, but it's the standard scotch.
Bars are moving away from Bundy as the house rum. Mostly because it's god awful. A lot of bars are using things like Kinky, Captain Morgan's or Havana Club as their house pours.
They're also shying away from Jim Beam. For exactly the same reason. Slate, Bulleit and Jack have become the common first pours. Though I remember when the Metropolitan used to have Makers as first pour.

My local has Bombay Saphire as its house Gin and Captain Morgans as its house rum.

I hate Johhnie Walker.

We've change from having Bacardi in the speed rack to Havana Club, but I think that's down to contractual issues with the company. It's pretty much the same from what I've heard.

Havana club is actually a better rum.

Bombay is my favourite of the 'generic' Gin brands. It's a good, full flavoured herbal Gin. Pity I get insane hangovers from it.

I don't mind it. In saying that i've never had expensive/classy gin.

I'm a fan of Martin Miller's and Hendrick's. They're not 'classy', but they're better than your standard first pours like Bombay, Gordon's, Jinn, Beefeater, etc.

It's something you have to learn how to drink. A lot of people's first experience with Gin is drinking a Gin and Tonic and they don't realise that it's actually Tonic water that's horrible, not gin. It gives you bad-ass hangovers though.
