And for what it worth, I know myself and others laugh when we see/hear the anti-gay stuff from the Victory support. It shows a very small mind and in general does not reflect the interaction I have with Melburnians in business. But saying that, when dealing with the lower levels of organisations in Victoria one does notice a more pronounced homophobia which also tracks with the little brother/small man syndrome in that town.

Apologies for the sociology, but you may want to reflect on your above posts and question where your fear comes from.

In no way at all did the comment directed at me by Gerrygee, offend, or upset me in any way at all. At the time that I first viewed the comment, I smiled into my mug of 'Traditional Afternoon Tea' that I was sipping on at the time, with amusement. Remember, ladies and gentlemen, this is the Australia Football section of the au.fourfourtwo.com forum we're talking about here. Maturity isn't exactly brandished about.

I had expected nothing less in terms of a response from said poster. I understand that some homosexual members of the forum, or those who are accepting of the homosexual community may have been offended by the comment, and that is their right, and they have the right to voice their opinion on the matter, but I reaffirm that I was not in anyway hurt, or offended by the comment. Those who frequent these forums often enough, especially those who inhabit the 'Extra Time' section of this forum, should know by now, that I have a girlfriend who I'm in a serious, but very relaxed relationship with. I am also more than comfortable with my sexuality.

I am also more than confident that User:Gerrygee does not actually know the meaning of the word 'faggot' - which according to the Oxford Online Dictionary means 'a small bundle of sticks/twigs for the purpose of fuel', and that if he did know the actual meaning, he'd be looking very red faced, as I cannot see how calling somebody a 'bundle of sticks, for the purpose of fuel' is in anyway offensive.

Yes, he called me a derogative, and offensive (to some) term, but I'm also fairly sure he wasn't taking into account my sexuality, presumed or known.
