Yeah, though I did the same thing before being a mod too. Being a mod hasn't changed anything I do on this site tbh. Apart from not being able to abuse people anymore...:p

I tab as well. Read through to see if there's anything interesting, but lately its mainly been "die A-League die" in every thread. Only post if I feel that it fits in, which probably means I post less than lots of others. :)

After I have stopped tabbing and start reading I have so many tabs open. Its amazing how many times people have looked over my shoulder and commented on how many things I have open!

Tabbing revolutionised my internet experience.

Oh and somebody asked about using the forum jump button? Not sure if in this thread or another but I am a forum jump guru.

I have one tab opened to a forum, the rest of the tabs on threads. Then I used the forum jump to switch around and see if any threads have been updated etc. I love it.

I always use the forum jump button on sfcu because I switch between The Cove and Never Mind the Bollocks forums.

Multi-screen. Why bother flicking between tabs when you can just view a new monitor?

I set up multi-screen in my study with my macbook and a LCD monitor last year. It was absolutely amazing when I was doing my thesis. I could view pdf's, articles, journals etc while still having my word file open and typing in another screen. Honestly it probably saved me days worth of time than if I had to switch between windows, find my place again on the page etc.

Nowadays though I simply use my macbook as I lay on my bed. I can't be bothered going to the study to trawl the net and jump on forums etc so the monitor hasn't been used for a while.

but what about the 'quick reply' button, i use it all the time, used it for this post, only time i don't use it is if i want to use a smiley i can't remember the code for

I use quick reply all the time, mostly because I know all the shortcuts anyway. Especially when you're quoting half a dozen quotes spread out over an entire page, rather than in the last 10 posts it makes things a lot easier.

tabbed browsing made shit so much easier. Ive got a tab for ET and a tab for WF, if a thread's getting a lot of action I'll give it its own tab.

As youre scrolling passed the quote you want press ctrl+leftclick then go into those new tabs and cut all the quotes and paste them onto one thing.

Or I could just press ctrl+C and paste it in the quick reply and not have to worry about moving from one tab to another because I can control everything with keyboard shortcuts. "Home", "Page up", "page down", "end", "ctrl + C", "ctrl + V"...that's about all you need to navigate this webpage.
